Hello Friends and Countrymen. We are gathered here to Celebrate our Language, Montagne, and so I will be speaking in Montagne, as you have definitely noticed. Montagne is a very old language, but it has slowly been driven out of use by French and English. Well, no more! We gather here, not to just celebrate a Language,but to celebrate a culture, a Nation, a People. Here, We  have  a united spirit of Montagnes. I implore you to teach your Children, your Siblings, your parents of the greatness of Montagne, and that you Spread it's language, and so it's culture everywhere you go. Thank youi for being able to make it here, and I shall leave you to go to the stands and Learn all you can about our nation, our People, OUR LANGUAGE!

BACKGROUND

Montagnes was first a collection of countries fighting for dominance. Eventually King Aurelius I united them, and formed the house Bourbonaiss. Much later, King Phillip III "Ironhead" invaded the kingdom of Saanteria, and surprised everyone by winning! He also reformed Taxes and built the nation's oldest University, which is now the Phillipia, named after him. After the death of his grandson Louis VV, which ended the Bourbonaiss, the kingdom ent through a dark age. This was ended by  Emperor Ladislaus II, who reformed EVERYTHING. Much time later leads to our modern king, Aurelius III.

Bourbonaiss.
You prob wondered "Why are so many of these house names ending with Bourbonaiss? And what's with the percents? Well, it goes like this.
There was a king, a great one. Philip III of house Bourbonaiss. He was from a great house,with legends like Louis I, Gustave II, Marie III, and Aurelius I"the angel". Philip was nicknamed "Ironhead" for reasons i'll explain later, but he had 6 children. The important ones are Arnaud V, Philip IV and Gustave III. Philip, his sucessor, continued the line, had a son, Louis VV, and when Louis died with no children, we look to the others. They founded their own Dynasties, but with the deatj of the last legitimate Bourbonaiss king, we see them adding the suffix, Bourbonaiis. Lets dissect it, shall we?


The suffix means they are all descendants of king Philip IV "Ironhead", and the prefix is what they use to distinguish themselves. the percentage states how much of a claim they have to the bourbonaiss. Since 5 children founded dynasties, it's 20% each. Now, lets look at Arnaud. much time later, you have Marie, who marries  Bastien, of house Revoire, merging the 2 into House Rousillion. Now, let's look at Gustave. His son becomes king Colin I of Capet-bourbonaiss. MUCH later, comes Marie the II of Capet-bourbonaiss. Back to rousillion, they lead to our current king, king Aurelius the III, whose son, Edouard VIII will marry Marie, merging Capet-bourbonaiss and Rousillion into house Rousillion-Capet. BUT, one of Philip's other daughters establishes the house Bonrei-Bourbonaiss, whose last heir married Marie's brother. BUT she died, giving the title of Bonrei-Bourbonaiss to her brother, who is NOT the heir to house Capet-bourbonaiss. BUT, he died, giving Marie,  Heir to house Capet-bourbonaiss, the title of heir to Bonrei-bourbonaiss. BUT she will give title leader of Capet to her new husband, where they will merge. BUT, since She was due to become leadr of bonrei, the title heir to bonrei passes down to Edouard, where all 3 titles will pass down to his son/daughter. And when edouard takes the throne, he will unite  he 3 families of Bonrei,Rousillion and Capet into Rouspet-Bonrei-Bourbonaiss, which will give that house 60% claim to the throne of Bourbonaiss. If Rousillion can get a the titles of the other 2 Bourbonaiss-heirs, they could form a house which would have great legitimacy, the house of Siegneur-bourbonaiss.

Montagnes was at first many Suabbling Coastal kingdoms across the Emerald strait. But, one of these, Montagnes, finally united the northern parts under their king, Aurelius I of House Bourbonaiss. Much later, and King Phillip III "Ironhead" Came along, and in a gruelling war with Saanteria to gain montagnes Gloriueses's Only Landlocked Province. He also united by marroge the south, which is where we got the part "The Crown of St.Jean" from, which was the official title for the south. That is why we are formally called "The Kingdom and Lands of the Crown of St.Jean" Which is the Emperor of The Southern provinces, and "The lands of Montagnes Gloriuses" which is the north. They are 2 seperate titles, just always occupied by the same person.
