Lord Ferris sat at his desk after sending these letters with his secretary to the CEOs of every major foreign corporation, sweating, this had the potential to make or break his political career. Should his plan to increase foreign investment in the country succeed King Carl would surely reward him with greater position, however should he fail he had not yet proven himself indispensable enough not to be "erased".

The Kingdom of Estitios is a modern, militaristic state with a traditional honour code.

Estitios is an island nation and as such places much pride in its envyable navy (The Knights Estitios) and airforce (The Knights Aviator) with few ground forces.

Corporations are allowed to opperate tax free within Estitios, however workers are taxed on earnings to maintain the military and the royal family. The aristocracy can act with virtual impunity as long as they maintain the favour of the ruling family. Speaking out against the royal family is punishable by death, the omnipresent secret police, The Knights Obscure, who "erase" anyone who critisises the government overnight - no body is ever found.

The only way for a member of the lower class to advance their station is to enjoy a long and prestigious military career, many mega-corporations seek out retired Knights Estitios officers due to their advanced leadership and strategic skills.
