To:- Defense Ministry of Cascadia

The East Moreland Aircraft Industry have a reputation as being one of the most innovative manufacturers of aviation products on Mundus. Over the last sixty years we have developed a range of products to fulfil a variety of tasks ranging from civilian pleasure flying to high tech military bombers fit for the 21st Century. We therefore feel we are best positioned to offer a standard of excellence which will be difficult to match. We therefore would like to nominate two aircraft designs we feel would best fill your specification.

PROPOSAL 1 - THE DRAGONLING

Developed in 2015 as a cost effective multi purpose aircraft the Dragonling has seen service in Close Air Support roles in Academica and is in use as a trainer for the Commonwealth of The Iwi. It has performed admirably in both roles and is capable of fulfiling a whole host of other roles.

The Dragonling is capable of carrying 6,200 lb of external weaponary mounted of six hard points, this ranges from air to ground guided missiles, laser guided bombs and rocket pods amongst others. Additionally it can carry a further 3,000 lb of munitions in an internal central bay. This ensures that the aircraft can carry a significant amount of firepower for the role.

The aircraft has an extremely low stall speed, at just 109mph, meaning that the aircraft can stay on station for over 5 hours assuming a 200mile insertion. This enables you to be confident in the level of support it can provide. Furthermore should the area not be aerially secure test pilots have reported that the aircraft is "surprisingly agile" and therefore capable of manouvers capable of ensuring its safety. The aircraft can also carry air to air missiles allowing it to defend itself against enemy aircraft of all kinds. While also being a twin engine aircraft it is capable of operating safely on one engine. The aircraft is also built largely from components used in other EMAC projects and civilian projects of ours meaning that damage repairs can be fixed simply and cost effectively.

At a cost of just $20million per aircraft it is difficult to find an aircraft capable of so much for such a low price.

EMAC DRAGONBANE II

The Dragonbane II was a project from 2014, it was designed to replace its names sake the Dragonbane one of the most effective ground attack and close support aircraft in service in the East Moreland military. The aircraft was designed to replace the aircraft that entered service in 1972 and is still going strong showing the durability of its inspiration. The Dragonbane II can offer the same level of engineering excellence.

The aircraft is capable of carrying a vast array of air to air or air to ground ordnance mounted on 8 under-wing and 3 under-fuselage pylon stations for a total of  16,000 lb which I'm sure you agree is a sizeable amount of weaponry for any mission. Furthermore two 27 mm Mauser BK-27 revolver cannon mounted either side of the nose replace the iconic nose canon from its inspiration. The aircraft has a loiter time of around 90 minutes assuming a 200mile entry flight meaning it can provide a significant overhead deterrent. Its internal avionics allows it to communicate effectively with ground units in real time. While the aircraft is not amongst the most manoeuvrable its high amount of ordnance means it is capable of protecting itself in air combat situations against many targets. The Dragonbane II is exceptionally tough, being able to survive direct hits from armour-piercing and high-explosive projectiles up to 23 mm. It has double-redundant hydraulic flight systems, and a mechanical system as a back up if hydraulics are lost. The aircraft is designed to fly with one engine, one half of tail, one elevator, and half of a wing missing making it amongst one of the toughest aircraft in service.

Fly away cost:- $40million

We hope these aircraft are of interest to you and should you require it we can invite you to our facility in Technology City to witness test flights of both these aircraft.

We are looking forward to your feedback

Sir Alan Maybury
CEO of EMAC

The A-XX is a prototype ground attack aircraft currently in the final stages of development by LodjaWings and likely to be avaliable within six months.

The aircraft utilisers a pusher propeller mounted above swept rear wings and a unique tail design. This both helps mask the sound signature of the aircraft as well as help protect the engine from ground fire. The aircraft will also feature eight underwing pylons and one central body pylon giving ample room for significant amounts of weaponary capable of providing exceptional ground support.

The aircraft also is highly economical being able to fly several hundred miles before staying in a target zone for several hours at a time. The aircraft also features a compact body type making it highly manouverable, the composite materials making it light weight while also durable.

The aircraft is expected to retail at around $30million flyaway. Final prototype testing is due to take place over the next few weeks and should you be interested we would be happy to invite you along for the tests.

KAAC Bid

Kwuy Anan Aircraft Company would like to bid the Kwuyalshalk H-18 Strike Condor to Cascadia.

In the event of a deal being formed, the Kwuyalshalk H-18, under modifications for the Cascadian Air Force(language, other adaptations), could be referred as the ‘Cascadian KH-18 Strike [national bird]’.

The KH-18 SC was specifically designed for a Close Air Support and Ground Strike roles. It’s armed with a 30mm rotary autocannon, effective against personnel and armor, at a rate of fire of 2,400 rds/min. The KH-18 SC can use advanced precision guided AGM missiles, small diameter guided bombs and mounted rocket pods on its many eight external hardpoints. Sets of two can carry 1,000 and 2,000 lb loads while the other four hardpoints are rated for 2,500 pound loads. These four are also plumbed for external fuel tanks.

The KH-18 SC is lightweight, highly maneuverable, adaptable and efficient, allowing for long loiter times in a particular area. It has a comprehensive electronic suite, including EW and ECM capability.

3 and 4. The KH-18 SC is very capable of operating under conditions where air supremacy isn’t viable. It’s high maneuverability, range and EW capability makes it capable of air-to-air combat if necessary.

5. The KH-18 SCs armor is composed of lightweight ‘metal foam’ otherwise known as composite metal foams(CMF), which is capable of stopping high caliber sounds entirely. Armor is focused on vital parts of the plane, like the fuel tank, cockpit , engine and flight avionics.

Additional attributes is the pusher design of the KH-18 SC, the six bladed prop engine is shrouded in an armored clamshell separate from the internal fuselage, fire bay suppression systems is included. As the KH-18 SC was designed for mountainous operation where altitudes and cold can cause potential icing, the engine comes with a deicing system, composed of layers of conductors encased in materials that are bonded directly to the airframe structure. When ice accumulates on the aircraft, an electric current is sent through the conductors, causing them to pulse, this movement is enough to pulverize ice, even in flight.

On board avionics consist of a multi-mode pulse doppler radar system mounted on the forward radome and a multi spectral targeting system.

The aircraft can be configured for a 1 seat or 2 seat layout, in order to reduce workload and expand roles done by the aircraft at once, such as electronic warfare.

The KH-18 SC generally comes with most standard conventions in modern military aircraft, such as ejection seats, backup oxygen, etc.

Base Flyaway Cost: 18 million
Custom Modifications 20 to 22 million

AADC Proposal

The Achkaerin Aeronautical Development Company has a proud history of developing aircraft for both civilian and military operators, having reviewed the specifications of the brief provided by the Cascadaian Defence Ministry we believe that the Bat Type Strike Fighter is a viable option for the Cascadian Air Force.

The Bat is a battle proven aircraft having seen action over many years and is still seeing action to this day in Phuebra. It's got plenty of agility to compete where air superiority is contested and has the pace to out maneuver helicopters. The Bat's party piece is it's vertical take off and landing capability, which enables it to be used in a wide variety of environments and roles. It has the capability for operations over a decent range which can be extended by the use of drop tanks thus increasing the amount of time it can loiter around an area and harass opposing forces, it has a strong armament of guns and a wide variety of missiles and bombs (up to 8,000 lbs worth), it also comes equipped with an electronic jammer and ACDS. It's an adaptable aircraft designed to operate in circumstances where adaptation is key.

The Bat is a single seater aircraft under normal circumstances but two seater versions are available. We price this at $4.5 million per plane and as part of the deal if accepted we will make available pilots and engineers to train up Cascadian Air Force Personnel on the Bat, we'll also arrange for a demonstration if required.

I thank you for your consideration
