Aid for Djabidjan
« on: September 27, 2022, 10:04:58 PM »

To - President Min Tae-joo

Having seen recent reports of the flooding and associated issues in Djabidjan I am contacting you to offer the following support from the Kingdom of East Moreland.

1. We have a system of Global Pre-Positioning Ships (GPPS). Part of their duty is to store supplies of fresh water, bottled water, ration packs, medical supplies and various other item needed should East Moreland troops need to operate anywhere in the world. We have one in the Krimeon region which could divert to your nation. We would make all food, water and medical supplies onboard avaliable to your relief effort as soon as they could be off loaded.

2. Also onboard the ships are the Watly Water filter and energy generation systems that are usually deployed as part of military forward operation bases. We would like to also offer these to your nation. Currently there are ten onboard the GPPS however we can have a further forty in your nation within 24 hours if permitted to fly in.

3. We are members of the Joint Emergency Team, a multi-national NGO established to deal with natural disasters and humanitarian operations. We will divert our J.E.T. resources to you immediately. This includes around 800 aid workers and associated equipment. We believe we could have these underway within 48 hours. Also with your permission we would ask for a mobilisation of all member nations assets to deal with these floods.

4. I understand you are seeking to establish learning centres. I would like to extend an invite to Melissa Lusk to extend the Refugee University network to your nation for the considerable future. This is a network of online learning and pre-taped lectures in various languages that allow registered students to submit coursework to an accredited institute. While this may be only able to cover Higher Education we believe that the network could be a useful resource for some.

5. Should the need arise I would be happy for the Royal East Moreland Air Force to operate medical aid flights to East Moreland. We have a facility known as Hunters Vale which is a converted former Air Force base that has a history of housing large numbers of refugees. The facility includes a hospital and we would be willing to take any requiring serious medical care there, along with their families.

6. Finally should you feel the need for extra boots on the ground I would be willing to put the Rapid Reaction Force from Duke Legion at your disposal. Around 6,500 Legionnaires are currently in this force and could be used to conduct a variety of operations from helping to reopen roads, distribute supplies and other associated roles. We would also be able to send their various support assets such as helicopters and transport aircraft.

We place all these options at your disposal and standby ready to help however we can,

May the Gods Watch Over You and Your Nation Know Peace.

King David III of East Moreland.

Message to East Moreland, King David III

First, we express our gratitude for your offer of assistance in theses difficult times for our nation.

Your offer, particularly regarding (1) and (2) would be greatly appreciated. Both the main ports in Djabidjan City and Attalaxia, as well as Djabidjan City National Airport and Jangju International Airport will be ready to receive any contribution or aid from your country and others. As much as it is possible, we have provided a protocol that the more serious patients being sent to hospitals in Djabidjan City and Jangju. While the Ministry of Healthcare does not consider it a priority in the current time, (5) would be appreciated in order to reduce the pressure on those medical centers during the next weeks.

Only one higher education center, Talgwon Regional University, has been affected by the current crisis, which fortunately only suffered minor damage. We have contacted the leadership of the Talgwon Regional University, in case your offer (4) would be needed.

However, as we have fully mobilized our armed forces to deal with the situation, as well as other emergency units, we do not see the need of a deployment of personnel in the area, at least in the current circumstances. In any case, extra rescue kits and, particularly, medical supplies would be greatly appreciated, as well as materials for temporary residences for those affected. If the situation or the current needs changed, of course, we will immediately inform you of any update.

Yours sincerely,
Office of the Presidency
Republic of Djabidjan

To:- President Min Tae-joo & King David III of East Moreland

Despite us sharing a border we have had limited communication for some time now. As your Southern border region experiences flooding as to have parts of our nation. We have been thankful to the Aos Si[1] that we have experienced little damage however this makes us more determined to help as we are seeing just a few miles from our own border the horrors nature can unleash. We would be poor neighbours if we did not offer our own support. As such I have today authorised members of the Royal Logistics Regiment to prepare the first of what will be, if accepted, alternative daily aid convoys. These can approach the region from the south of your territory and may have better luck accessing some of the regions effected. Additionally our Air Force can carry out aid drops using helicopter and transport planes if required.

We have heard that East Moreland have also offered aid and if required we are willing to open our airspace and air bases to Morelander aircraft to aid in their own logistical effort.

Once the situation has subsided and the immediate danger to your people has been dealt with I would like to visit Djabidjan so that we may discuss a future arrangement to deal with natural disasters as to limit their impacts on both of us.

We wish your people well.

Message to Queen Talulla, Federation of Ruasliabh

We can only express gratitude for our southern neighbors. We certainly agree with the offer to improve communications and relations between our nations, and we invite representatives from your nation to visit Djabidjan City to a future date.

The aid convoys will be greatly received to the southern city of Nguyencheon, along the coasts, only a few kilometres at the other side of the border, as roads from the border to the mentioned town, which also holds a center of distribution and storage of supplies, have not be affected by recent natural disasters. The International Jangju Aiport will be also available to any flight regarding either trade or humanitarian aid.

Yours sincerely,
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Djabidjan
