From Ktsatskuri to Zhytomyr
Colonel Otar Nasidze found himself once again in Halych. His return may be as surprising for him than for the new hosts. Nasidze had been the ambassador of the Unitary State of Mktvartvelo in Zhytomyr during the last years of the Republic of Halych and during the leftist government, until Mktvartvelian government decided to suspend diplomatic relations with the eastern Coft Aranye nation as the situation became untenable.
Nasidze was personally entrusted to establish diplomatic relations with the State of Halych, now that the political future of the country seemed certain, at least for now. It is not that there were big hopes about Halych in Ktsatskuri, of course, but it was felt that there were not reasons to postpone this decision, whatever the outcome and the direction of Mktvartvelo-Halych relations. For that reason, Nasidze was willing to lead personally the mission, who knows for a last time. Besides any misunderstanding the recently established Zhytomyr government may have about his persona or role, Nasidze willingly accepted to lead this mission, maybe for a last time, giving his recent experience in the country and that he spoke the language.
For that reason, Nasidze and his team immediately asked for an audience with the State of Halych, hopefully with Marshal Lysenko himself, giving that in the current circumstances, he seemed the only person able to offer long-lasting assurances and certainties in the current atmosphere in Zhytomyr.
