Plateau prefecture runs 7 days on renewable energy alone!

Southwest Arda Tuluva's Hravanrímen prefecture has just run for seven straight days entirely on renewable energy. From 6 November to midnight of 12 November, Hravanrímen used only wind, solar and hydro power stations. Vardamir Márecarinë, general manager of the prefectural grid company, said during the period, electricity use was 1.1 billion kilowatt hours, equivalent to 535,000 tons of coal.

Hydro power plants supplied 72.3% of the electricity, with new energy like wind and solar supplying the remainder for the province, which is home to 5.8 million people, said the vice general manager. Martotanë hydro-power station in Astarin county, is the largest on the lower stream of the Anduin River. On average, it generates 10.2 billion kilowatt hours a year. Staff with the power station started to check their facilities months before the test and worked overtime to ensure its smooth operation.

According to Saire Anátacarinë, general manager of Laicatinwë, a major electricity consumer in Hravanrímen that produces solar panels, said she felt no difference in the power supplies to the company. "There is no turbulence, it was a smooth process," Anátacarinë said.

(Hravanrímeni solar & wind fields)

Home to the source of one of Arda Tuluva's major rivers, Hravanrímen has strong hydro-power and solar supplies. By October this year, the power grid of Hravanrímen had a total installed capacity of 23.4 million kilowatts, about 82.8% of which came from hydro, solar and wind power.

"Clean energy is the ultimate way. We need to reduce reliance on fossil fuel, improve our energy structure, and reduce carbon emissions," said Lossemarë Artúricalamírë, Minister of Energy, said.

According to the prefectural 13th Sixth-Year Plan, Hravanrímen plans to expand its solar and wind capacity to 35 million kilowatt by 2020 and supply 110 billion kilowatt hours of clean electricity every year to the southern and western parts of Arda Tuluva.

Arda Tuluva's enthusiasm for clean energy is pushing the global transition toward a low-carbon future with plans to invest 2.5 trillion tokken in renewable energy by 2020, creating more than 13 million jobs, according to the Central Statistical Office.

Diplomacy and Events / A Papal Visit to the Celestial Court
« on: October 27, 2017, 08:06:05 PM »
Since the official announcement of Arda Tuluva's alliance to Lodja the Papal Nuncio, Archbishop Velázquez, presented an official Letter of Request to the Consul of State asking for further talks to improve relations between the Celestial Empire and the Holy See. It was, therefore, decided by the Artaquë to invite the Pope to Imladris personally, the first time a Pope would come to Arda Tuluva. The Court Astrologers divined the proper time for a Papal visit, it was said that the alignment of the celestial bodies were most favorable this time a year and not to delay the visitation for after the next New Moon it would be ill-fated. Not something the Arda Tuluvans would tempt.

Relations between the two nations have traditionally been on good terms the past half century, trade flourished and money poured in from Arda Tuluva's investments and companies within the Ecclesiastical State. Historically speaking, however, the two were often, ideologically, at odds with one another. Christianity has always had a dubious and fluctuating stance in the Empire; at one time Christianity was banned and their adherents severely persecuted. Modern Arda Tuluva, however, allows religious freedom, but the Abrahamic faiths never really caught on in the Empire as loyalty must, above all else, be first to the Throne and, especially in modern times, many of the Abrahamic faith's hardliners seem to only care about sexuality, of which Arda Tuluvans have always been very open and free about sex and sexuality; the idea of repressing such attitudes boggles their minds.

Secretaries of the First Ministry have issued memoranda to the Throne expressing concern about the Catholic Church's new leader for his inflammatory comments about socialism and the tenets therein lies (of which Arda Tuluva could be considered) has caused alarm from within Arda Tuluva's Foreign Affairs Ministry. The Throne had issued decrees to the First Ministry pronouncing that the Ecclesiastical State would do nothing to harm the economic relations between them, that the Church's priority is to end the conflict with the separatists in the north. Many a country would classify Arda Tuluva as a socialist state, though, Arda Tuluvans would disagree. They say that Arda Tuluva follows no political or economic policy other than the concept of "Great Unity", which subscribes to the tenets of a harmonious and prosperous state; where each citizen is taken care of and works together for the betterment of society as a whole: education, welfare, and social policies are paramount within the Arda Tuluvan Empire. It is the goal of the central government to create and govern this Utopian society of Great Unity.

Truth be told, whatever ideals this new Pope proscribed to mattered little to the Throne, what the Empress cared for was peace and harmony in Albion. The Daughter of Heaven did not wish for relations between the two powerful nations to turn asunder. It was decided that a strong foundation shall be built to prevent any gaps from forming between the two. Thus, His Holiness was invited to Imladris to treat with the Throne for the betterment of the two societies.

It was late afternoon when the Papal aircraft landed at the Eönwë Airfield, a private airport used for the Arcalcassë Palace. The Arda Tuluvan contingent awaited for the Pope on a red carpet inlaid with subtle designs and outlined in intricate golden patterns led the way from the base of the stairs leading from the airplane to an entourage of black vehicles, sky-lanterns floated majestically along the way, fastened to the ground with golden rope.

Legionaries of the Imperial Azure Army's Honor Guard snapped to attention as the Pope descended from the stairs; flower petals in the colors of the Papal flag – red, yellow, and white – fell gracefully in abundance from the lanterns in the calm air. Inglor Anordradil, the Consul of State, bowed his head in greeting to Pope Peter II, while the other members of the Arda Tuluvan Imperial Government bowed low at the waist in the Arda Tuluvan fashion; hands before them left fist in the right palm. The many other lower ranking officials and servants fell to a full kowtow.

"Atta eleni sílar lúmenna omentielvo; Airatalda, Attá Sardo Tatya, Yantántúra i Ilyëa Cordo ar Talumë i Hristónustëa Norëo. Aya ar alcarë.[1]"  The Consul of State said in the traditional greeting. Lifting his head he continued, opening his arms in a friendly gesture. “It was with great esteem that we welcome His Holiness to Arda Tuluva. On behalf of Her Most Sublime and August Majesty we wish the Ecclesatical State fortune and blessings.” He, and the others, bowed again in respect.

 1. Translation: "Two stars shine at the hour of our meeting; Your Holiness, Pope Peter the Second, Supreme Pontiff of the Universal Church and Sovereign of the Ecclesiastical State. Honor and glory."

It felt extremely odd to Alcarinqualo to be sitting in the Hall of Brilliance upon the Dragon Throne that had been brought in just for him. With the Autárimë Empress on foreign visit to Lodja (which in itself was odd. A debate he had had with Aranince almost daily since her departure) and the Ingaran ill, it fell to him – as the highest ranked Arda Tuluva presently available – to attend to the Morning Assembly. It had gone smoothly. He had received an Imperial Edict as the Assembly Opened decreeing he spoke with “the Daughter of Heaven’s voice” that he could “issue Decrees in the Holy Name of the Autárimë Empress.”

Most matters had been settled by the Proconsul of State, Eruvaryar Mehtarecárinë, who was the highest ranked member of government sicne the Consul was away with the Empress. Proconsul Mehtarecárinë had suggested the proper course of action and decrees to which the Noble Consort gave his consent.

“The portents suggest it is most auspicious to have a Northern Sovereign visit while Carnil is in the Vermillion House and Eärendil aligns with Alcarinquë.” The Chief Astrologer responded to the Noble Consorts question of why they didn't simply wait until the Empress returns. “Your Imperial Highness, the Noble Consort should understand that while Eärindil aligns with Alcarinquë and the full moon wanes it most auspicious for Her Sublime and August Majesty to travel abroad and give prayers to Ulmo i Vala Nénaron.”

Star alignments and astrology was never the Noble Consort’s forte, unlike the Able Consort who seems to excel quite proficiently at it. He still thought that the Achkaerinese delegation, and their emperor, might find it rude that he would not be met by the Consul of State, nor meet with the Empress. But, it was suggested – as it often was – that interactions between the Daughter of Heaven and foreign monarchs be limited as much as possible, in formal proceedings.

The rest of the Morning Assembly went as smoothly as it began. Truth be told the Noble Consort found the entire thing long winded and boring. How the Empress did this ever day was beyond him.

“It is decided.” He spoke, causing a slight murmur.

“Let it be known and published.” It was his Ómari who spoke now for him. “That His Imperial Highness, the Noble Consort, shall personally attend the arrival of the Achkaerinese Emperor.”

He had used his ómari to convey an Edict so that none could dispute his desire. He raised his arms out as all those assembled fell to a full kowtow chanting in unison, " Herwa'venno quainyén, quainyén, quinquainyéni." (Literally “Noble Consort ten-thousand years, ten-thousand years, ten of ten-thousand years," used exclusively for Arda Tuluvan royalty)

After the Morning Assembly the Noble Consort, as well as the Presidium members made their way from the Arcalcassë towards the Eönwë Airfield, a private airport used exclusively for governmental purposes, to meet with the Achkaerinese delegation.

As Fox One, the official plane of the Emperor headed towards Arda Tuluva the Emperor Peter Azurewind was encountering one of a few things that were gradually becoming a regular problem, in this case the inability to tie the red tie that he'd chosen to wear for this visit, it would accompany his black trousers, black shirt and black jacket, but thanks to his artificial right arm the 'Cyborg Emperor' as he was affectionately known now struggled to do some things. Writing had been the big one, he now did most of his writing left handed but still had much to learn in that regard because it was barely neat.

"You weren't much good at that when you had both your good arms you know." his good friend Celine Tyler said, she stood in front of Peter and started dealing with his tie herself, despite the Emperor's protests. It wasn't the first time Celine had done this either there had been many occasions when this had been necessary "Seriously though why did you ask me and Yuki along for this?" Yuki was Celine's daughter, who was sat reading a book her jeans complimented by a white t-shirt and a red and black checked shirt that she wore like a jacket.
"Because the pair of you need your mind taking off recent events." Peter said "Serenity run it past me again."

Serenity was Peter's daughter, youngest child but also the heir to the Achkaerin throne she was sat playing a trading card game with her long lost daughter Lisa, Peter had decided to use this visit as a means of letting the two bond before questions were raised back home.
"Deeply formal, we'd say superstitious, so expect numerology and astrology." Serenity said "They've got a complex government which is quite unlike anything else on Mundus so I suggest we play this one by ear."
"I've got to agree." Prince Simon said, he was Serenity's older brother "We know very little about this nation so we should treat it like we're fact finding."

At that point they were joined by Peter's fiancee Renee Sandiego who came through from the cockpit
"Pilot says we're going to be touching down any minute now." Renee said
"Good." Peter said as Celine finished with his tie "I'm looking forward to this."

When they arrived they walked down the aircraft steps Peter at the front with Renee and the rest behind including the final three members of the delegation Melanie Bell, Sazame Hatake and Tama Saigo, with the latter two wearing their traditional Maiden Sister robes, Sazame wearing black robes lined with red and Tama wearing white robes lined with gold, Tama also had feathers tying back her hair as she nearly always did, the pair also carried their swords with them, it was part of their code as Maiden Sisters but they'd deal with any problems that threw up as they came. It was also safe to say that with the gender dynamic in the group being what it was that Peter and Simon were feeling a little bit outnumbered, but this was what happened sometimes, especially when you decided to leave the government ministers at home. Peter did appreciate the presence of the Naval Cadets, as a former naval officer it was something he always liked and judging from the playful nudge Celine gave him she did as well, though Yuki and Serenity were the serving naval officers in the group.

After they were greeted the Achkaerinese delegation returned the respectful bow with their own

"It is a great honor to be welcomed into your great nation in this manner" Peter said "May our conversation prove fruitful and beneficial for both our peoples."

OOC- apologies on delegation size but wanted to cover some bases.

Spoiler: Fifth Post: Arda Tuluva • show
The Noble Consort and the leading members of the Presidium all made a circular gesture with their right hands (The pointer and pinky fingers folded in while the thumb, middle, and ring fingers remain upright and the palm out. This gesture is used by every Arda Tuluvan to either ward away bad omens, to accept good omens, and the like) when the Achkaerinese Emperor commented on his hopes for a fruitful conversation. “Our desire is the same, Your Imperial Majesty, a fruitful meeting, indeed. The Soldiers await Your Majesty’s inspection.”

The Noble Consort gestured for the Emperor to continue as he took his stride next to him while the Commandant of the Honor Guard saluted and walked in tandem. The Soldiers moved their heads in unison from looking straight forward to the Emperor and Noble Consort as they passed by.

The Achkaerinese delegation was each linked with a member of the Presidium according to precedent: Serenity, as heir, walked in line with Eruvaryar Mehtarecárinë, Proconsul of Arda Tuluva. Princess Lisa walked with her mother. Prince Simon, as son of the Emperor, walked in line with First Minister Cormarë Vercatauronámë. Renee Sandiego, as fiancé of a consecrated sovereign, walked in line with Ohtatyáro Artuneliëracarmë, Executor of the State Council. Melanie Bell, as a countess, walked in line with Ninquië Sailáquettón, Secretariat Chancellor and State Councilor. Celine Tyler, as special adviser to the Emperor, walked in line with Wensicia Hedikai, Arda Tuluva’s Minister for Popular Enlightenment. Yuki Tyler, as an active Achkraenese Capitan, walked in line with Science & Technology Minister, Erunno Nólmericarmë. Then by the two Maiden Sisters and the Adûnaim Abrazânai, finally by the rest of the Arda Tuluvan contingent.

The Arda Tuluvans were slightly unsure just exactly how to handle Ms. Renee Sandiego. She was untitled and has yet to marry the Emperor, as such; according to Arda Tuluvan conventions, she would have no standing among the Blood or Dynasty, more a stature of a concubine. Then again, she was betrothed to a consecrated sovereign, thus she is afforded the luxury of high honors, hence her placement in precedent. But what concerned Alcarinqualo was exactly how he should interact with her. He looked to Alasseon, his ilar'nalda, who signed an option back. He agreed with a small gesture, before continuing his nonverbal communication with Alasseon. Not to offend their honored guests Alcarinqualo had signed his consent for it to be known among the Arda Tuluvans that Renee Sandiego would be given the respect due a Wise Consort, thus ranked equal to the Blood, but bellow the Virtuous and Able Consorts; needless to say the Ingaran and himself included. This would not offend the powers at be and give honor to the Emperor's beloved.

The Achkaerinese would most likely have little, to no, understanding of the convoluted nature of Arda Tuluvan society, especially within the inner working of the Court and Dynasty. Or of what Alcarinqualo and Alasseon were discreetly discussing to one another, best they didn't really. But this was how things were handled in Arda Tuluva. A constant dilemma of old mingling with the new.

They eventually were all lead to a line of black limousines which were waiting to drive them to the Arcalcassë Palace. It was built in a ravine surrounded by the Holy Oronruan Mountains, a massive square sat before the Gateway of Perpetual Balance, two monolithic stone doors decorated with an azure dragon on the eastern door and a red-golden phoenix on the western. The pathway, the Meridian Way, was adorned with hundreds of marble statues of guardians against evil spirits and omens that lead straight through the gatehouse to the palace.

They drove through a massive tunnel hollowed out from the mountain after passing through the Gate of Perpetual Balance. The sides held inscriptions of auspicious prayers carved into them. “As you can see, Majesty,” the Noble Consort gestured to large cracks throughout the tunnel that seemed to illuminate as the convoy drove through, “because of tectonic movements the tunnel has cracked and has been repaired throughout the centuries in a fashion we call entaminnlaurëa, or ‘to repair with gold;’ the art of repairing something with gold or silver lacquer and understanding that the piece is more beautiful for having been broken. The philosophy behind this encompasses the concepts of non-attachment, acceptance of change and fate as aspects of human life.”

The Noble Consort then explained the meaning behind each of the gates as they passed through; the first was the Gate of Perpetual Balance: a reminder that a balance in all things brought harmony and kept Heaven appeased. Alcarinqualo quoted one of Arda Tuluva’s most famed philosopher, Mindarúcina (Arda Tuluva's/Mundus’ version of Confucius), “Rituals and regulations are what kept the world from spiraling towards chaos.”

The second was the Gate of Supreme Tranquility: a reminder to the Empress that she must keep peace and tranquility, a tranquil state secured the Dynasty's hold on the Mandate of Heaven. The last was the Gate of Heavenly Brilliance: with Heaven's grace the Empire would remain the center of the world and civilization would continue to flourish. Each Gate might have become smaller as they progressed, but each was more beautiful and more adorned then the last. The Gate of Heavenly Brilliance seemed to have been cut from a dream. The artistry and craftsmanship was perfectly done. Like all things in Arda Tuluva, great care was taken to achieve a vision of beauty, of greatness, of sublimity.

“The Arcalcassë Palace was commissioned by the Tar-Tasarië Emperor in 1430, arguably the Vildimë Dynasty’s greatest empress." Alcarinqualo began to explain some history of the Palace in which Arda Tuluva's honored quested would be hosted. "The subsequent sovereigns were not the most frugal of monarchs and emptied the Treasury in their unyielding desire to finish construction. A little known fact is that only half of the entire plan was actually finished.” The Noble Consort gestured beyond the many pavilions and towers, "the vastness in the east is now the Imperial Gardens and hunting grounds." He has become somewhat of an expert on the history of the Arcalcassë since his arrival. His first love had always been literature, but history has become his second love especially since he began his monumental works on the Four Treasuries.

The convoy drove for some time more, twisting and navigating the large complex. Before arriving, "The Hall of Tranquil Longevity." The Noble Consort said as he and rest stepped out of the car. He was rather graceful getting in and out of the vehicles, considering the multilayered robes he wore. The servants who awaited them fell to a full kowtow.

"You are given leave to rise." Alasseon shouted with authority. They all stood. "Your Imperial Majesty, may I present Haryos, Head Steward of the Hall. He, and the entire staff, are at your disposal." The Stewards bowed low in greeting as he was introduced.

"His Majesty might find rest and solace within these halls." Alcarinqualo said, "This evening His Majesty and those he wishes to attend are invited to a Banquet at the Pavilion of Delightful Fragrance within the Herwëana Palace." He nodded his head before departing.

The Achkaerinese were showed to their respective suites within the beautifully designed Hall of Tranquil Longevity.

Peter was enjoying himself, a good sign actually, he hadn't been on a visit like this in a very very long time. His phone though brought him back down to Mundus with a rather rude and thoughtless bump
"Yes Hannah?" he asked, it was Hannah Cartwright the Royal Press Secretary so while Peter went and talked the other Achkaerinese took in their surroundings, in terms of rooms Lisa and Serenity were sharing with Yuki, Simon was on his own, Renee was with Peter, Celine was on her own, Melanie on her own and the two Maiden Sisters together as well. Serenity, Lisa and Yuki were taking in the view from the window.

"Imagine riding in that." Serenity said as she admired the grounds
"You said it." Yuki said
"You ride horses?" Lisa asked
"You bet I do." Serenity said "Your grandfather is a three times Mundus game gold medalist...he's really good at it. And when we get home I'll teach you how to ride."
"Who's better you or uncle Simon?" Lisa asked
"Your mother only fell off twice when learning, I fell off about ten times." Simon said he glanced towards Yuki "Are you okay Yuki?"

This was somewhat weird, with Peter and Celine being very good friends Yuki had grown up knowing Simon and Serenity as such it was very difficult for Yuki to hide anything from them and vice versa.
"I'm fine." Yuki said, she was just distracted by recent events in her life her last mission had hit very close to home.

At this point Peter finished his phone call
"Bad?" Celine asked
"When isn't it these days?" Peter said
"True." Celine said, Peter smiled
"So who wants to go to this banquet?" Peter asked, every member of the Achkaerinese delegation raised their hand not that Peter was surprised by that answer "Ok then get some rest and then get ready."

Peter walked and lay down on the nearest bed, his conversation with Hannah still playing over in his mind
"Something's bothering you I can tell." Renee said
"Rokkenjima's stepping things up in terms of Kaitaine and Catriona's nowhere near ready." Peter said
"So what are you going to do?" Renee asked sitting down on the bed
"Hope Emerson can talk some sense into Evanthe?" Peter asked "Ok you know any good ways to cheer me up?"
"Well Serenity's brought that dress with her." Renee said "I'll guarantee she'll wear that to the banquet."
"The Arda Tuluvan's will never have seen anything quite like that." Peter said, he sat up "I'm going on the hunt for the shower, just make sure everyone's ready on time."
"I will." Renee said.

While our two nations may believe in different religions we believe there is much more that unites our nations. We are both nations in which the female is entrusted to rule the nation, we believe that our nations are blessed as the home land of Goddesses and we are both committed to maintaining our nations cultures and traditions. We therefore believe that it has been too long that we have not meet face to face. With this in mind we would like to arrange a state visit between us, be it in your homeland or ours. It has long been since last Our two nations treated with one another. Much has changed, yet much is maintained. It is agreed that Lodja and Arda Tuluva should come together in harmony for the prosperity and tranquility for all.

Their is but little strife between Us because of Our differences for they are complimented by Our similarities. Rituals and traditions keep the word from spiraling towards chaos. A maxim held in high regard for both Sessifet's Avatar and the Great Tercenë. Much can be achieved if Our two wills work in conjunction.

It is with this regard We wish to treat with Lodja; to move forward to a new dawn, to created a foundation of harmony and prosperity. Alas, dear Queen, Oh Guardian, the auspices are unfavorable for the coming Lunar cycle to extant an invitation to Our Court. The Augurs and Astrologers assure Us that the omens are most approving for travel to Our southern neighbor. With Heaven's consent do We, with joy, accept an invitation to treat with Your Majesty in Gaia.

Blessings of Heaven and Earth.

So let it be written.

Gaia was beginning to get used to high profile visits and receptions now, and the people loved it. There was not much that the Lodjain people enjoyed more than the pomp and ceremony of their royal family and while Queen Sonja had been no stranger to parades and ceremonies they had never featured foreign visitors. The main road from the airport to the Isle of the Goddess. A possession of blue jacketed Queen's Lancers sat on their horses awaiting the arrival of their guests. As the soldiers milled around on their horses Lord Besarian Ivanov mingled between them. The Lord of the Conclave, the Queen's highest advisor walked amongst them chatting to a few officers he knew back in his days as a soldier. He was rather looking forward to a chance to meet a foreign Head of State and her entourage, since the Queen's marriage he had been confined merely to Conclave duties, offering advice on matters of state rather than actually getting out and about.

With Besarian was Helene Tar the Queen's mother and therefore afforded the title "Mother of The Guardian", she herself was four months pregnant but was still keen to be seen to doing her bit to help her daughter. Either side of her stood two of the dismounted lancer officers each carrying long polished spears. A few horse drawn carriages awaited each with the horses freshly brushed down and their manes interweaved with threads of gold to make them glimmer in the sunlight. "When will they arrive?" Helene asked Besarian as he returned from chatting with two men he'd served with back in his former days.

"I believe Your Most Regal Highness anytime soon." He stood waiting silently, glancing at his watch keen to get underway.

Spoiler:  Post IV: Arda Tuluva • show

Among the Blood of Arda Tuluva’s nobility it was thought scandalous that their sovereign would “demean” herself to travel abroad at the behest of a foreign monarch. However, all oppression was silenced after the Empress issued an Imperial Edict declaring it treason to question the Will and Decision of the Autárimë Empress’ wish to re-forge relations with Lodja in person. Those against is quickly ended their oppression and retired to their own estates in repentance and meditation. It was rare for the Empress to issue an Edict with such harsh penalties, but she needed to maintain her stance of a new and changing Arda Tuluva, and with hope the Empress will have less opposition in the future.

The Arda Tuluvan Empress arrived in Gaia early that morning from the sea. It has been decided that it most auspicious – and pious – to travel by boat as then the Empress could perform prayers and sacrifices to the Vala Ulmo, Lord of Waters.

The Arda Tuluvan Imperial entourage arrived at the Isle of the Goddess. The Empress was carried upon a palanquin with a golden silk umbrella shielding her from the sun. A host of servants held up various banners and sigils displaying Imperial symbols of power: the phoenix, the dragon, the chrysanthemum.

The Empress’ Ómari, Ehtelë, spoke as he bowed low to the Queen Mother then to Lord  Besarian, “Your Regnal Highness. Your Lordship. Honor and glory to Lodja! Honor and glory to Sessifet's Guardian!”

“May I present Her Most Sublime and August Majesty, the Autárimë Emperor, the Daughter of Heaven.” As he spoke the Arda Tuluvan sovereign descended from her palanquin as most of her entourage bowed in a full kowtow.

She approached the Lodjans, the golden silk umbrella was detached and the servants holding the sigils of the phoenix appeared behind their monarch. The Autárimë Empress slightly extended her arms in greeting. She was the Daughter of Heaven, Holder of the Mandate; as such she did not bow nor incline her head as was so typical of Arda Tuluvans.

“Atta eleni sílar lúmenna omentielvo.”[note] Translation: Two stars shine at the hour of our meeting. Honor and glory.[/note] The Empress said, speaking the traditional greetings. According to Arda Tuluvan tradition the Empress is considered superior to all, as such her Ómari generally would have been used to speak on her behalf. However, the Empress had decided that she would show her hosts the greatest of respects by speaking directly to them.

Helene bowed as Besarian did likewise, the courseway over to the island behind them was lined by the Lancers, they had hours before the tide cut the island off so there was no hurry. "Your Imperial Majesty honours us with her presence" The Queen's mother began. "I must ask something sensitive before we proceed." she was nervous and glanced sideways at Besarian and the Priestess Raisa who stood a few paces behind.

"If I may Ma'am" Besairan began. "You see Your Imperial Majesty" it was clear Besarian was looking down as he spoke, he recalled something about it being a sign of respect, and while he held no sway with these people's traditions, barely doing the same for his own nations, he was under strict orders to make sure the meeting went off without a problem. "It is customary for the Island to be kept pure, and upon entering it for the first time there is a ritual of purification." he paused for a moment, seeing the Priestess in her black robe keen to get started. "However our Queen has determined you yourself are already pure and therefore there is no need." He could see Raisa about to protest but a slight backwards glance stopped her. "This purity extending to those you deem worthy" he wasn't entirely comfortable with this himself but Viktoriya had been firm in this. "So unless you wish to experience this ceremony please follow me."

There were a number of press following and some of the accompanying Lancers had never set foot on the island, and the ceremony to them was not optional, in fact many couldn't wait and an expectant cue was forming. Raisa stepped forward, and once blessing those from Arda Tuluva[1] who were submitting to the ritual she began on those waiting patiently. The rank of the individual didn't matter, each was ordered to close their eyes as the Preistess dipped her thumb in the sea and sprinkled a few drops of water on the top of their head or hat. Next she walked around the person sprinkling pinches of sea salt she'd made herself onto them, all the time praying. The parties made their way over the causeway and reached the bottom of the hill.

Besarain began again. "Now Your Majesty has a choice, the streets here are narrow, and the only people who live here are members of the royal household, but no vehicles can get through because of the narrowness, its about a half a mile walk up a steep hill." he pointed up towards the imposing castle at the summit. "Or alternatively we have this" he pointed to a steep cliffside railway cabin which stood waiting. Once the Empress had made her decision the ascent started, upon reaching the summit Queen Viktoriya herself was waiting, she looked serene in a blue dress, golden thread used to pick out a stag down her right hand side and a Five clawed Dragon on the other.

Viktoriya moved towards them, her pale complexion and smooth movements adding to her mystique. "We are thankful you have agreed to come here, it means much to all of us" Her entourage came behind her, one of them dressed in a white dress with flame red hair handed a small wooden box over. It was embossed with gold patterns, Jasmina lifted the lid as she passed it over. "We here in Lodja see salt as a sign of purity, so please accept from one monarch to another this gift" she handed the box towards the Empress, next Dragan Knežević, the Finance Minister stepped forward. He handed forward a purple silk cushion, a Blue John Dragon perched on top of it.

The Minister spoke, like Besarian his eyes lowered. "Your Imperial Majesty, on behalf of the Patricians of Lodja please accept our gift. It's made from a gem stone called Blue John, as far as we know its only found in Lodja." He stepped back. To almost immediately be replaced by a woman dressed in a smart man's style suit with short cropped hair. Lady Anna Utkin had a similar but smaller cushion to Dragan. "Your Imperial majesty, on behalf of the Plebleians of Lodja please accept this gift." She handed over a strange ring, it was made out of smoothly polished wood the top a block of resin containing a single blossom. It was a rare looking object and had been made by her father Tomas who despite his daughters raise to prominence was still a lowly Pleb artisan. The gifts presented Viktoriya stepped forward once more.

"Please walk with us" she headed off inside and the Lodjain's fell into step with a member of the Empresses entourage as a wide proscession made their way through the grey stone corridors of the Palace of the Goddess. "We firmly believe that in many ways we're kinded spirits, both thrust into a lifetime of service, both divinely connected and both determined to make our nations great." she kept her eyes looking ahead as she seemingly glided along the corridors. "It is our hope that we can go beyond simply building closer ties between us, but that our nations can act as a beacon of what strong women can achieve for their nations" by now they'd reached a door which was dominating the whole corridor. Behind it lay a wing of the Palace with a variety of bedrooms and lounges, it even had its own kitchen that could prepare mini banquets, the staff already in place had been practicing some of the guests delicacies for weeks now. "Please make yourself at home, our home is your home" she nodded and Anna Immich took a key from around her neck and unlocked the door, before turning and presenting it to one of the Empresses followers. "This is Lady Anna, she is our Head Lady in Waiting, for the duration of your stay she is at your service, whatever duty you need her to perform, whatever desire you need her to fulfil she will do as though it was an order we gave. Now when you have rested and are ready we would like to invite you to tea on our private balcony." The Queen bowed to her opposite number briefly before turning and leaving with her entourage.

"If Your Imperial Majesty would step this way, it’s an honour to be in your service" Anna held an arm inviting them to step inside.

Spoiler:  Post VI: Arda Tuluva • show

They understand much. The Empress signed discretely to Ehtelë following quickly by another odd gesture as she followed Lord Besarian forgoing the ritual herself.

“By command of Her Most Sublime and August Majesty, the Daughter of Heaven.” Ehtelë announced as he turned to face the Arda Tuluvans, “We are to submit ourselves to the Ritual of Purification.”

The Empress opted for the railway cabin, her robes were far to heavy and cumbersome for an elegant stroll that long, it didn’t help that her neck was beginning to stiffen from weight of her headdress. The Empress was attended by Arda Tuluva’s Consul of State, Inglor Lord Anordradil; her Ómari and seneschal, Ehtelë; and her two standard-bearers. The rest of the Arda Tuluvan entourage took the pathway that lead to the Castle proper.

When Queen Vikoriya presented her gift the Arda Tuluvan Empress accepted it personally, a small smile appeared on her lips as she locked eyes with her fellow monarch. She thanked her host, “It is with gratitude that we accept this gift. As it is, salt holds a long historical importance to my people and society.”

Then Lodjan Finance Minister, Dragan Knežević, presented his gift. He, too, like the others averted his eyes. These small gestures that her hosts give have already gone a long way in impressing the Empress. The Arda Tuluvan sovereign made a gesture of thanks and warding of omens with her right hand (the pointer and pinky fingers folded in while the other three remained straight and she waved a small circle). The Empress’ most trusted anvir’arma took the pillow case from Minister Knežević and presented it to the Autárimë Empress, who nodded her head approvingly while signing to Ehtelë as he handed it off to another attendant. “Her Most Sublime and August Majesty wishes to convey gratitude and thanks for this gift on from the Patricians of Lodja.” Ehtelë Voiced.

The same format followed after receiving the gift from Lady Utkin, Ehtele took the cushion presenting it to the Autárimë Empress before handing it off to another attendant, “Her Most Sublime and August Majesty wishes to convey gratitude and thanks for this gift on from the Plebeians of Lodja.” Ehtelë Voiced.

A box made of sandalwood and gilded in intricate golden designs was brought before Queen Vikoryia and was opened for her. “Jade, silk, and saffron.” The Empress said, it had taken Ehtelë off guard who looked a bit shocked. “We present the three traditional gifts to you as a sign of Our thanks and of Our hopes for a fruitful meeting.”

The Autárimë Empress followed in stride with the Lodjan Queen. The two glided down the corridor with such poise and grace it appeared to many the two floated, they held an aura of authority, of power: truly goddesses of their domains.

“We do what destiny wills.” The Empress said in response. “We are also arbiters of our own fate. For We are Heaven’s chosen and you selected by Sessifet.” She said with conviction. Like her counterpart the Arda Tuluvan sovereign kelpt her eyes forward as if peering into the their future. “We are beacons of light in a world dominated by men. We shall be a pharos to guide the ships of fortune and fate. In ages past the Queendom and the Empire worked hand in hand to the benefit of all. It is with this in mind that We are desirous to bring about an era of prosperity and tranquility between Lodja and Arda Tuluva.”

Any desire, Majesty. Did you hear that? Ehtelë signed to the Empress whose eyes shot him a quick, admonishing look as she flicked her hand. He bowed quickly and formally in apology, eyes averted to the floor as he took a few steps back allowing the Empress to pass by. The Empress and the Consul held a brief conversation before he departed to Arda Tuluva's embassy to meet with the ambassador and other concerns there.

“Her Most Sublime and August Majesty expresses great joy and gratitude for such honors of staying in the Divine Queen’s Palace.” He said to Lady Anna as the Empress walked by followed by a host of servants holding the sigils. “I am called Ehtelë, chief anvir’arma and primary seneschal to the Daughter of Heaven.”

He gestured to for Lady Anna to enter first before following her inside. Soon an army of attendants flooded the room bringing in various cases and trunks. The Arda Tuluvan sovereign had disappeared into her bedroom to change and prepare for tea later that day.

He gestured to one of the couches in the parlor for Lady Anna before taking a seat himself. “I am sure you have been informed already, but I would be lacking in my duties if I did not stress the following.” He smiled at her reassuringly, “It is of great importance that you, nor your staff, speak or make eye contact with the Daughter of Heaven. If, by some miracle, the Daughter of Heaven speaks to you, you must show complete difference averting your gaze and first refer to the Daughter of Heaven as ‘Your Most Sublime and August Majesty’ and then thereafter as ‘Your Imperial Majesty.’”

“Any and all concerns or questions should be brought to my attention. Rituals and tradition govern all aspects of the Daughter of Heaven’s life. I do not believe there is enough time to explain even a tenth of them before our visit if over.” He said humorously with a smile.

It was then that Ehtelë requested that he be showed the apartments and staff that the Lodjans had prepaired for the Arda Tuluvans' stay.

He was informed that the cooking staff were becoming proficient in Arda Tuluvan cuisine, which was met with approval from Ehtelë.

After assessing the rooms and meeting the staff the Empress' senechal nodded his respects to Lady Anna, "Lodja truly is a most  honorable and gracious host, Lady Anna. This shall go far in the eyes of the Daughter of Heaven."

The two had taken their seats back in the main reception area of the suite. Other Lodjan servants brought and prepared traditional Arda Tuluvan jasmine tea. Ehtelë took a sip and was pleasantly surprised by its aroma and taste. Just delightful. As the two drank the tea Ehtelë had, quite diplomatically, steered the conversation to the subject of Lodjan Royal protocol. He inquired if there was any special ritual or procedure the Empress should be aware of when meeting with Lodja's Divine Queen.

He has listened to Lady Anna and as she finished another of the Empress' servants appeared, bowed politely to the two then whispered in Ehtelë's ear. He raised a brow quisitively. He turned his head slowly to Anna. "Today is full of surprises. It appeared, Lady Anna, that you have been granted a rare opportunity for you have been summoned by the Daughter of Heaven."

Ehtelë lead Anna to the sleeping quarters given to Arda Tuluva's sovereign. Bowing low at the waist Ehtelë announced their arrival. There was a large paper multipaneled screen set up with lovely paintings of women regaling along a river bank with an abundance of flowered and cranes. The women were dressed in the style of the old Cúldarë dynasty show casing it's age.

Beyond the screen a blurred silhouette of the Empress could be seen. She appeared to sit, back facing them, almost lazily on a chair, yet with an aura of grace and authority. Two female servants attended to her hair, styling and adorning it with pendants and ornaments; while tworking others were rubbing oils onto her arms and legs.

It seemed an eternity before the Daughter of Heaven finally spoke, "Anna Immich, Chief Lady in Waiting to the Queen." She paused again. Her voice was soft, precise and astute. "A lofty position that few truly understand. Privy to much, yet unnoticed by many." She extended her arm as the oiks and lotions were worked further into her smooth, unblemished skin.

"Before We met with your monarch We would know who Queen Viktoriya truly is, of her character and person. Know that We have no ulterior motives. We wish only for harmony between Arda Tuluva and Lodja."

Spoiler:  Post VII: Lodja • show

It was an awkward question that the Empress had asked, after all out of all the people in Lodja it was probably Anna who knew the Queen best, however by the same token she was in a position that required total discreetion. She was however only too keenly aware that to say the diplomatic lines would be a little obvious, she thought for a moment before starting her answer. "Well Your Majesty" Anna said looking out of the window "Queen Viktoriya is someone I've only known a year, therefore I wouldn't persume to consider myself an expert on what she is like. I do know that she is a person of two parts.....I don't mean the Goddess and Viktoriya, I mean within herself." She thought for a moment, she wasn't making much sense in her own mind. "If I can explain.....she is young, she's been brought up in a family that while wealthy aren't the richest in Lodja" Anna's own family were equally wealthy, "In public she knows she has to be the epitimy of calmness and authority, yet behind closed doors she is I would say growing into that role. She still often consults the Conclave, as well as other trusted people, over the smallest of issues. Yet when in the public eye she has no problem letting the people know she carries all the power, prestige and authority of the Goddess." Anna was feeling more relaxed now and found it easier to talk. "I suppose Your Majesty could say that the Queen at times though is rather sad, I don't think the life she leads has quiet lived up to the fantasy a young girl would have had. I mean what young girl doesn't imagine being a Queen in a fancy castle leading the life of a fairytale Princess." She thought back to her own childhood and the same thoughts had gone through her head, she had however never had chance at being Queen and therefore was rather pleased with how her own life had turned out. "I think she'll be happier once she finds her 2nd husband, a man she marries for love, but that'll take time" she finished wondering if she had said too much.

Over the other side of the Palace Dragan Knežević the nations finance minister had purposely placed himself between the visitors appartments and the Queen's private balcony. Hearing the tell tale click clack of the entourages heels he began his walk towards them, a deep red leather folder tucked under his arm. "Ah Good Day Your Divine Majesty" He bowed while moving. "I trust our guests are settling in" he said as he waited for her to past, "They seemed rather friendly when I meet them earlier" he said keen to reaffirm his position with her.

The Queen surprisingly stopped and turned to Dragan. "We're glad you think so" Viktoriya began, "It is our firm hope that our two nations can become firm friends." she said icely.

"Mine too Your Divine Majesty" he said, "I believe the two of us could have some superb business and economic links" he said sewing his little seed of a thought into her mind.

"We would be keen to hear your ideas" Viktoriya was easy enough to get meetings with if you worded things right. "Please follow us" Viktoriya motioned as she headed towards her own private balcony. Dragan bowed his obidience and fell into step alongside Angelina Evanov , the Queens newest security officer, and the first Pleb to serve in the position.

"Hello Angelina" Dragan said politely as he fell into step with her, she liked him, not just because he was handsome but because he was the only noble who seemed to not look down upon her. "How's the visit going?" he asked understanding that bedding the Queen's female household wasn't the only way to get information.

"Very good Your Lordship" Angelina replied as they rounded the corner.

"Now...now....what have we said" he mockingly admonished her.

"Very good Dragan" she smiled as she blushed, just like with everyone he meet the future Duke of Kezen insisted they use his first name. It felt awkward though. They had reached the Queens door and beyond it was a large balcony, large enough to fit five or six good sized dining tables on, but today a single coffee table and comfortable seats filled the space, enough for a large entourage but with two seats face to face in the centre. Angelina waved goodbye to Dragan as she took up position on the door to let the Empress in. Dragan and the Queen disappeared inside along with the rest of the security team and Ladies in Waiting.

"Please be so kind as to pour us a lemon tea" Viktoriya asked Dragan as she disappeared to take off some of the baubles of state leaving her in just the dress representing her nation. "Please join us until the Empress arrives."

The Autárimë Empress understood all too well the burden of power. Being one person in two parts. Yes, indeed, she understood that she must, like Viktoriya, maintain an astute, ever calm demeanor, to portray only authority and grace while in public. In private, well, the Empress had to follow the constant daily rituals and repetitions that governed the life of an Arda Tuluvan sovereign.

The Autarime Empress knew what her life would be like since her aspirations to Ascend. Her mother, the Tar-Ancalimë Empress had taught her well. One must keep their distance; it was an extremely lonely at the top. But, they believed they were doing Heaven’s will. But giving one’s life wholly to the State was a small sacrifice for the greater good of the Empire.

Lady Anna’s answers were exactly what the Empress wanted to hear. She knew she was extremely lucky to have found love in her first husband, the Ingaran, unlike her mother who found like solace in any of her consorts. She made a gesture at the thought of Eruenvinyanto and made a small prayer to Heaven for his quick recovery from the illness that has befallen him.

The Empress signaled to Ehtelë that Lady Anna could be dismissed who politely lead her out before returning again to set up a small altar with a statue of Estë i Valië Milya, the Heaven’s aspiration of healing and renewal. Incense was lite and the Empress bowed before the Altar to offer her prayers.

Autárimë Empress was dressed in white silken robes embroidered with golden chrysanthemums and various ornate patterns. The Arda Tuluvan sovereign left her personal quarters with only a small contingent: two servants who walked before her holding traditional lanterns ‘to light the way and scare demons’, two standard bearers of the Phoenix sigil behind her and four other servants, along with Ehtelë who walked just behind his sovereign. Once the Empress arrived she was greeted properly and lead to Lodja’s Divine Queen.

The Empress nodded her head to the Queen and extended her arms, “Your Majesty.” Viktoriya gestured for her guest to take her seat. The Empress sat down gracefully as her servants arranged her long train and dress. The Empress was offered refreshments which she gladly accepted. She looked around with a small smile, “A splendid view, Majesty. It is Our hope that one day We might offer hospitality at the Arcalcassë Palace.”

Spoiler:  Post IX: Lodja • show

Dragan was sat rather enjoying the view and his opportunity to explain some of his finer thoughts and plans to the Queen, he was never happier than when he was working his brain, unless it was killing it in a bar with booze. He was keen to try and change things for his nation, he saw great potential in Lodja, but it was untapped, in his mind that was a crime in itself. "and that Your Divine Majesty is why I think we could really push with this." he was busy rounding up his latest idea when the Empress approached. "The Empress is arriving" he said quietly to Viktoriya as their visitor approached. He stood politely and stepped away from the table, Viktoriya had been sat with her back to the door and stood too.

"Empress" she nodded politely as she approached the table, " We are most impressed by your dress" she smiled, Lodjains were renowned for being rather materialistic and shallow, especially when it came to physical appearance, and of course fashion. Dragan pulled out the chair he had been sat on further and turned it slightly for the Empress.

"Please Your Imperial Majesty, be seated" Dragan said holding the chair and waiting for her to do so. Once she had taken her place he helped slide it closer to the table before stepping back. "Your Divine Majesty" he said turning to his monarch. "I beg your leave, I'm sure two monarchs don't need my presence" he bowed his head.

"Lord Knežević, thank you for your company and advice. We hope to see you soon" She smiled at the bearded nobleman's son.

"I count the hours" he said with a smile knowing how many ladies enjoyed flattery. "Empress, meeting you has been an honour yet again" he bowed to her and then walked away, whistling a merry little tune as he went.

Viktoriya waited for him to leave the balcony. "May I pour you a drink" she held up a bottle of white wine that had been chilling in a cooler. She poured them both a glass and then replaced the bottle. "We rather enjoy our time here, the view is beautiful we agree" she smiled, "However in winter it does get very icey out here, legend has it one guardian of Sessifet once slid over the side losing her balance.....although that is not something we think very likely" she chuckled, "Unless of course she had somehow offended the Goddess. May we speak alone?" the Queen asked and waited for the various entourage to leave, she had sent hers away long before the Empress had arrived, leaving them sat inside the lounge.

It was in the lounge that Roksana now took over hosting duties. With Anna on loan so to speak to the Empress it had fallen to the 2nd most senior lady in waiting to look after the Empresses entourage. "Please take a seat" she pointed to the soft low sofa's that dominated the lounge, it was was huge, easily capable of hosting thirty or so people. "We've various foods, all Lodjain specialties, stuffed olives, fruit pancakes, I can recommend the Pelmeni, they are small vegetable, fish or meat dumplings" she held up the plate of the dumplings towards the guests. "So how long have you been in the service your Empress? Do you get lots of balls in your Palace?" she asked, Roksana loved the balls, mainly for the attention that she gained but also just the luxury of the whole thing.

Outside the Queen was relaxing slightly, although she didn't really know the Empress Viktoriya somehow felt that there was a connection, perhaps it was the fact they'd been similar ages when they took power. "If I may speak plainly" Viktoriya faced seemed less stern, as though the mask of Queenhood had been dropped, "I wanted to invite you here not just because I feel our two nations can be friends, but also I believe that we can become friends, as two individuals. Each of us have a great burden placed upon us, both by our position and our faiths. I don't know about you but at times I feel that its something that can be hard to carry, and while I have been fortunate enough to build a group around me I can trust..." she thought for a moment about the Conclave...."mostly trust" she continued, "and I have been lucky to make friends with people such as King David of East Moreland and King Finley of Ui Cenneslaig, I feel they can not understand the challenges the two of us face. I hope you don't feel I am talking out of turn, but I hope that the talks between us can be done not just as two monarchs leading nations keen to make their way in the world, but as two friends. I would therefore appreciate it if while we talk alone you call me Viktoriya and not by any title" she smiled not sure if such a lack of formality would go over well with a nation she knew liked their rituals. The door opened and Roksana appeared and approached the table with a tray made up of the selection of foods from inside. "We thank you for the food Roksana" the Queen's stoney expressionless face was back. "Perhaps you could take the Empresses entourage to the kitchen, ensure they are satisfied with preparations for this evenings meal." Roskana nodded and returned to her duties. Viktoriya waited for the door to close, the mask once more seeming to dissolve. "I wonder then if there is a topic you wish to discuss first?" she asked as she offered the plate of food to her hopefully new friend.

To the Arda Tuluvan Empire, Regarding Reconciling Differences, a more Prosperous Future and Harmony on Mundus

To Her Most Sublime and August Majesty, the Autárimë Emperor

For far too long have the Syndicated Confederacy of Himeyama and the Arda Tuluvan Empire found themselves at opposite ends, both at the literal opposite sides of Mundus and figuratively with vastly differing beliefs. This has created a distrust between our two peoples at many levels, one that the Himeyan government wishes to remedy for the sake of future prosperity.

Therefore, we wish to conduct a diplomatic visit to your great nation so we can ease this pointless tension and create lasting harmony. I will personally attend the meeting between our peoples, along with our chosen delegates, The Righteous Chair of Justice Shiina Musashi and The Virtuous Chair of Foreign Affairs Arashi Yao.

We eagerly await Her Majesty's response.

Signed,

Shiina Musashi
Premier Executive Administrator of Himeyama

Unto the Most Honorable Shiina Musashi, Premier Executive Administrator of the Syndicated Confederacy of Himeyama; greetings and salutations,

For far too long have our two societies stood at opposite sides of the spectrum, isolated from one another allowing a gap to grow between our nations in suspicion and mistrust. It is long past time we put that to rest so that harmony and tranquility can thrive in its stead.

The Syndicated Confederacy of Himeyama and the Arda Tuluvan Empire each stand at a precipice: we can build a bridge between us, a nexus to link our two civilizations together. Or allow the agents of chaos to turn us asunder.

The Great Tercenë is ever desirous to maintain continual stability and prosperity on Mundus. With this grand aspiration does Her Most Sublime and August Majesty, the Autárimë Empress, the Daughter of Heaven; cordially extends an invitation unto the Honorable Shiina Musashi and unto the Premier's chosen delegates for an official state visit to the Great Arda Tuluvan Empire.

May peace and friendship grow between us eternal. Honor and glory.

Sincerely,
Cormarë Vercatauronámë
First Minister of Arda Tuluva
Grand Chancellor of the Grand Secretariat
Each day at eight o'clock the leading members of government would assemble before the Phoenix Throne in the Hall of Central Harmony for the Morning Assembly at the Arcalcassë Palace.  The ministers of government knelt in two groups of three columns with eighteen rows, separated by an ornate mosaic in the middle of the Hall. Behind the ministers (arranged by precedence and influence) were the various Court dignitaries, astrologers, attendants, and various other Courtiers (who were arranged by seniority).

Officials would stand and bow before leaving their designated spot to walk around the silver columns and before the Empress upon her dais preform a full kowtow as protocol demanded, they would remain kneeling to present memorials and referenda to the Empress – might she life forever. The Daughter of Heaven would issued the proper Memorial or Decree and Imperial Consent would then be appropriated.

Among many things this Morning Assembly saw the issuance of Imperial Consent to the Consul to use his best judgement - as representative and voice of the Throne - when dealing with the Himeyamans. He was given full power and authority to enact any treaty or agreement in the Autárimë Empress' holy name - might she live forever.

After the assembly Presidium members made their way from the Arcalcassë towards the Eönwë Airfield, a private airport used exclusively for governmental purposes, to meet with the Himeyaman delegation.

It was a beautiful afternoon when the Himeyaman Executive aircraft landed at the Eönwë. A red carpet inlaid with subtle designs and outlined in intricate golden patterns led the way from the base of the stairs leading from the airplane to the entourage of black vehicles, sky-lanterns floated majestically along the way, fastened to the ground with golden rope.

The Consular Guard and legionaries of the Imperial Vermilion Army's Honor Guard snapped to attention as the Premier Executive Administrator descended from the stairs; flower petals in the colors of the Himeyaman flag - red and white – fell gracefully in abundanc6e from the lanterns in the calm, cool morning air. The Consul, along with the leading members of the Arda Tuluvan Imperial Government, bowed low in the Arda Tuluvan fashion; hands before them left fist in the right palm. The many other lower ranking officials and servants bowed lower at the waist.

Atta eleni sílar lúmenna omentielvo, Ayanëa Musashi." (Two stars shine at the hour of our meeting, Honorable Musashi) Consul Inglor Anordrail said in the traditional greeting. Standing upright he continued, opening his arms in a friendly gesture. “It was with great esteem that we welcome the Honorable Premier to Arda Tuluva. On behalf of Her Most Sublime and August Majesty we wish Himeyama honor and glory.” He, and the others, bowed again in respect.

Spoiler: Himeyama; post III • show
The flight from Himeyama on Northern Ardia down to Arda Tuluva on Albion was indeed a lengthy one. Long enough that the Himeyan delegates had just woken up from a night's sleep by the time they had reached Arda Tuluva.

They spent the morning going over what they wanted to talk about with the Tuluvans, during which Premier Musashi gave constant reminders to Shiina to behave herself, the last thing they wanted was for someone to accidentally disrespect a member of the Tuluvan court, or worse yet, the Empress herself if she was personally meeting with them. After all, as different as the Himeyans and Tuluvans were, it's only possible to make a good first impression once.

Two ornate boxes sat on the table in the cabin, the small one contained a bottle of Sumiyashizare Momozake XO, the finest single beverage to ever come out of Himeyama. The large one contained a gift for the Empress herself: a pair of ornamental Haganeken decorated with gold plating as well as a prototype luminescent fiber that is powered simply by moving.

Handcrafted goods like that rarely ever came out of the big cities like Myodai or Shidarekawa, so it had to be commissioned by a small workshop in Ishinaru Bay. While the difference in quality between a machine-made and handcrafted product was negligible in Himeyama, there was no reason to try and cut corners when it comes to gifts.

As the plane touched the runway, Asuka looked back at Shiina. "Remember, be polite, answer questions and try to remember the Tuluvans are unlike most people we've met. We are Himeyama, let's make this worth everybody's while." With those words, Asuka brushed off her white velvet suit one final time before opening the door.

She tried to stifle her immediate reaction walking down the steps onto the runway, but she still couldn't help but smile, the red and white flower petals were especially appreciated. Really, the idea that someone would go out of their way this much to greet them excited Asuka greatly. Now with Musashi and Yao at her sides in front of the Tuluvans. "You honor us with this opportunity to meet, Honorable Consul." she smiled, prompting the three Himeyans to bow in unison. "We come bearing gifts as a token of our respect. It is our hope that these gifts see themselves to Her Most Sublime and August Majesty, the Autárimë Empress in time." she said as she took the smaller box from Yao, revealing the exquisite porcelain bottle to Consul Inglor Anordrail. "Only the finest of Himeyan goods for our Tuluvan friends to enjoy."

The Premier was so proud of herself for being able to pronounce Autárimë without stuttering.

The Consul bowed politely again when presented with the gifts from the Himeyaman delegation. It was well known among Arda Tuluva's ruling elite that Lord Anordradil was a connoisseur of fine spirits and he was delighted by the gift, thought it hardly showed, Arda Tuluvans of the higher castes rarely - if ever - displayed emotions as it was thought that they must at all times remain composed, in command of their emotions. The Consul signaled to the attendants who bowed low to the Himeyamans before taking the gifts away.

"We thank you kindly for these gifts, Honorable Premier." He bowed again, "The Honor Guard awaits your review, Honorable Premier." He gestured as the two leaders walked past the Honor Guard in review. Before being escorted to a line of black limousines that would take them all into the city proper.

“This waypath is called the Promenade of Great Unity, Executive Administrator. It is a central road that connects the Arcalcassë Palace Complex, which lies west of the capital and is the seat of Imperial power, to the Artaquë at the heart of Imladris. The Promenade is exclusively used  for official state functions." Proconsul of State, Eruvaryar Mehtarecárinë, began to explain. The road seemed to be one beautiful and continuous mosaic; it had taken ten years and a thousand artisans to complete. The maintenance was excruciating and expensive, but art and beauty must be showcased. It was lined with colorful trees and marble statues depicting heroes of legends and famous Arda Tuluvans throughout history.

"We are headed towards the Valdacassë Palace just inside Imladris, which was the main residence of the Vildimë sovereigns during the previous dynasty. Honorable Premier and your delegation may take accommodations at the Palace of Celestial Serenity, to relax and refresh; the staff and steward will be at your command. On the morrow, we shall convene within the Hall of Earthly Order at the Artaquë to begin official dialogue between Arda Tuluva and Himeyama. You must understand, Honorable Premeir, that it is most inauspicious to discuss official negotiations and treaties upon the first day of introductions. This is not done in Arda Tuluva."

The convoy finally reached the Valdacassë Palace’s main entrance: the Gate of Divine Might, where the two Arda Tuluvan leaders bade farewell to the Himeyans and wished them well until their meeting tomorrow morning.

Shiina Musashi was greeted by a host of servants and was ushered in and shown to her rooms by the Steward, a woman who called herself Aira Elenarindarë. The palace was much as Shiina expected it to be, considering the beauty and skill of the road it paled in comparison to the Valdacassë. Clearly, the emperors of old spared no expense on its design, craftsmanship, and beauty. It was truly a marvel. One that Arda Tuluvans truly appreciate, as all cultural heritage sites are maintained and looked after, never to fall to ruin or disrepair.

That evening the Valdacassë Palace entertained the Himeyans in the grandiose style of Arda Tuluva. A feast was prepared for them with traditional Arda Tuluvan foods, music, and entertainment.

The following morning, at ten, the Himeyans were escorted to the governmental megaplex known as the Artaquë. Unlike the palaces of the Arcalcassë or the Valdacassë, the Artaquë was designed to awe in a more intimidating stately fashion than a celestial one. Whereas the other palaces were lively, full of color. The Artaquë was strung with hues of gold and black, of silver and white. It was clear that statues of judgment and mediation lined these halls.

The Premier and other Himeyans eventually arrived at the Hall of Earthly Order where the Consul and the Presidium awaited. They all stood facing the door and bowed low at the waist.

“Honor and glory.” They said in unison.

The Consul gestured to the seat directly across from him at the end of the grey and black marble table designed with silver and white accents. After the Himeyan leader took her seat did the Consul follow suite. The rest of the members of the Arda Tuluvan Presidium first bowed to Shiina Musashi then to the Consul before they too took their seats.

Servants brought a small glass with rice wine in it to each member at the table. Standing the Consul lifted his glass, "To a fruitful meeting."

"May it yield plentiful." The other members of the presidium said in toast.

Next stood Eruvaryar Mehtarecárinë, he bowed to the Consul and then to the Himeyan Premier, "The Noble Shiina Musashi, Premier Executive Administrator of the Syndicated Confederacy of Himeyama, honors Arda Tuluva with her presence. To show interest and sincerity in opening dialogue between the Syndicated Confederacy and the Empire does not go unnoticed by Her Most Sublime and August Majesty, the Autárimë Empress."

"Might she live forever." All of the Arda Tuluvans said, eerily in unison.

"It is the hope of the Daughter of Heaven, and therefore; by extension, the Presidium that governs the Empire in Her Holy Name, that an agreement of Non-Aggression, Trade, and Harmony may be forged between our two great nations. For far too long have we remained at a distance and in the decades that proceeded us only silence grew between our two esteemed nations. It is long due that we till the field and weed the garden to allow peace and tranquility to grow where once only mistrust and discord laid."

Hello everyone, it's Arda again.

I hope all is well! I am sorry I disappeared but there were some very important personal matters that needed my attention back in the States, and finally everything has been dealt with and I am back in Belgium ready to get this RP stuff going again!

Also, I am aware I should have filled out a LOA, for that I am sorry.

Honor and glory!
