Shinty Anniversary Cup for Celts
KrisNord:
In 1989 Professor Finnian McAlister discovered what is believed to be the oldest Caman n our nations history while undertaking an Archaeological dig. It is commonly held that the stick dates to the year 1123, however the game of Shinty is thought to pre-date this by much more. In honour of this 900 year anniversary it is our intention to host the first Shinty Anniversary Cup. We are therefore inviting the following teams to join the tournament.
1. Cantabria
2. Dal Raitha
3. Eigg
4. Seaforth
5. Lymm
6. Preoria
7. Arcaibh
8. Ruasilibh
9. Ui Cennslaig
10. Theocracy of Kaitaine
11. McMoreland (Team made up of Seaforthians who resettled in East Moreland after the Seaforth Eugenics War)
12. Eskdale
The tournament will see two round robin tables where teams will play each other once before the top two teams in each group advance to a knock out stage. It is our hope that if this tournament is successful then it shall become an annual event.
Best Regards
