Uniting Aranye [Open]
« on: August 31, 2023, 09:03:36 PM »

From the Office of the Prime Minister

Greetings, leaders of Aranye.

I am dispatching this open letter as my government has been granted the funding to begin work on an Infrastructure Megaproject that I personally believe can be beneficial to more than just the Republic. I speak of a dream to unite the nations of this continent overland by way of a High Speed Rail system which promises to bring greater cooperation and prosperity to all nations of Aranye.

This project has been titled Trans-Arayne Railway. It is our vision to see an infrastructure investment that will be able to see a transport system that will bring us closer together, making travel and trade more open and capable between us all. No doubt this will be a significant project that will require a great deal of mutual funding, however I believe that the benefits of such an investment will greatly outweigh any costs, provided we are all able to cooperate and bring together the will to see a more interconnected Aranye that doesn't need to solely rely on air travel, and it's significant environmental impact, to bring us all closer.

Hence I am issuing an open invitation to attend the Falcree Convention Centre in Caerfyrddin, where we will be hosting a meeting aimed at producing an actionable plan to deliver on the goals of this proposal.

I look forward to hearing your responses.

Issued from the Desk of the Prime Minister
Signed: Einon Conway

To the Prime Minister of the Republic of Preoria, Mr Conway

the Senates have delegated this matter to one of our specialists, Senator Dr. Wallschmidt of the Imperial Transport and Logistics Council.

As a long standing member of the Council, we consider him the right choice for this Meeting. Though due to the state of the Lakhzovian Rail System, you will surely understand that he will travel via Airship once a date has been set. Our southern neighbor's infrastructure is still somewhat in shambles after years of neglect from their previous Government.

with all due Respect,

Matilda Eidmeier, Speaker of the Elder Senate

Maximilian was less than pleased when he got the news from the Council. A trip to a foreign Country for what he though couldn't be more than a man-child's fantasy after playing with his model trains. Mutual funding? The hell he'd agree to paying them for being decades behind, if not centuries, on developing a functional railway network. This better be worth him having to cancel the family vacation. He packed his coffers and waited for the call to go.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs
of the Lakhzov Republic

To the Esteemed Prime Minister of Preoria.

The Lakhzov government views with interest your proposal. It has been our past experience that attempts to unify even a small region of Aranye, let alone the entire continent, inevitably fail. However with that being said it has not yet been tried to begin the process with international megaproject.

We are open to discussing the potential for regional cooperation that your proposal raises.

Sincerely

Elad Eshdodi
Minister of Foreign Affairs
