The Centurions Rugby Club
« on: June 26, 2022, 12:36:22 AM »

It is the intention of the East Moreland Rugby Players Association to utilise the sport of rugby as a power for good causes. As a result we have today founded The Centurions Rugby Club, a vehicle to combine charitable work and the worlds love of rugby. The Centurions will be a fraternal order of rugby players. The club shall be open to any individual who fulfils the following criteria.

1. They have completed 100 games for any single club either in an internationally recognised top division or for their country. Club games must take place in a single spell and should the player switch clubs their game count shall reset to zero.

2. They have never been suspended from the sport for offences relating to performance enhancing substances.

3. They pay an annual subscription to the Club of $100.

The Club will recognise games having taken place in any nation affiliated to the Rugby Union governing body, Wheelchair Rugby and Mixed Ability Rugby. The club will aim to play games in as many nations as possible against top class teams. Playing squads shall be selected from members of the Club by a coach appointed for just that game from the nation where it will take place. As far as possible the coach shall also be a member of the Club.

The clubs playing colours will be a Black, White and Pink jersey, pink short and players shall wear the socks of the team for which their qualifying 100 games were played. (E.g if a player qualified having played 100 games for The Honeybadgers he would wear their red and white socks.)

In addition to charitable rugby games the club shall also seek to involve itself in promoting the game in a positive way, coaching and fund raising for a variety of good causes. The club shall in each affiliated Rugby Union nation host an annual dinner.

Any team wishing to play the Centurions may apply to be added to their calendar of games. A special request is made that the Centurions play the World Champions after each world cup.

The club shall each year select three worthy non-rugby individuals to be admitted into the club as honorary members. These individuals will be selected by those who have represented the club during the season nominating them and voting on them. These honorary members should be admitted as a reward for promoting rugby, raising funds or overcoming great challenges.

We look forward to welcoming players from across Mundus to our ranks.

Signed

Sir Clyde Woodward (100 games for the Northfort Royals)
Jessica Hallam (100 Games for the Honeybadgers Women's Team)
Rick Geddes (100 Games for the Rolling Badgers Wheelchair Rugby Team)

OOC- Think of this as the Barbarians for Mundus.
