From the Unitary State of Mktvartvelo
To: Heads of state, Government representatives, diplomats
Private communication
The Unitary State of Mktvartvelo invites you to witness a ceremony which symbolize the periodic rebirth of our nation under a new leadership, through the coronation of a new sovereign in the person of Brzdmtsveli-elect Ketevan Chakhava.
The ceremony will be held in Ktsatskuri, our capital city, and as it is traditional, it will be divided in three parts: the proclamation of a new Brzdmtsveli in the State Chamber, a religious ceremony in the outskirts of Ktsatskuri, and a coronation reception and dinner in Tsmindagoraki Palace. All transport, security, and lodging will be guarantee by Mktvartvelian authorities with no costs.
Yours sincerely,
Premiership of the Unitary State of Mktvartvelo
OOC: The message is supposed to be sent to every Mundus government which has (or it is reasonable to have) official diplomatic relations with the Unitary State Mktvartvelo. For disputed governments (such as countries under civil war or a similar controversial situation), you may ask me to confirm you if that would be the case. You can either post a confirmation of your assistance (or absence) and/or an introduction about who's visiting on your nation's behalf.
The RP will likely start on December 27, probably skipping directly -after an introduction- to the first part of the coronation. You may indicate if you would like to skip both the official proclamation or the religious ceremony (or both), and attending directly the final dinner in case that would be preferable for your nation's representatives.

The crowd have started to gather in front of the National Palace, seat of both chambers of Mktvartvelo's national parliament, where the proclamation of the new Brzdmtsveli (head of state of the Unitary State of Mktvartvelo) was going to be proclaimed. There was not much expectation about the proclamation itself, and more about the ritual and traditions associated with it, as well as the feeling to witness something historical, as since the 1920s, the election of the Brzdmtsveli by the Council of State was announced to the public and the media beforehand the coronation was organized.
The death of Brzdmtsveli Tamaz did not come as a surprise either, as his health problems had been known already for a while, as he had been pretty much disappeared from the public eye in the last weeks. Although the proceedings of the Council of State were secret, the election of Ketevan Chakhava came as a bigger surprise, not because she was not well-known, but because the historical precedents. She did not belong to any of the historical twenty clans which were considered to have the right to rule the country -even if such a thing did not exist legally- although she was the great-great-granddaughter of Brzdmtsveli Malkhaz IV, from the Gabedi clan, who had held the office of the Brzdmtsveli from 1826 to 1881. The memory of her great-great-grandmother, whom the Gabedi and other central and northwestern clan considered a foreign usurper, hanged over the family reputation for decades, although it improved thanks to Ketevan's mother, Tamara Chakhava, who had been close to Brzdmtsveli Endzela and had a reputation of a devout follower of the Order of Simartlea, Mktvartvelo's national religion. Tamara, however, had died in 2017, and it was considered a bad omen that a Brzdmtsveli came to office after his or her mother's death. But these factors, of course, were considered a moot point, ancient anecdotes for the younger generation while the older generation felt a more important reassurance that she had not been involved in politics before, unlike other favourite or rumoured candidates to replace Brzdmtsveli Tamaz IV.
As the tradition established, the event in the National Palace was, even if the only with proper legal value, just one of the three events with the traditional and symbolical coronation of a head of state in Brzdmtsveli: first, the proclamation at the national parliament, which symbolized the union between the Brzdmtsveli and the state institutions; secondly, a religious ceremony which symbolized the respect to the tradition and the role of Brzdmtsveli as "Protector of the Order of Simartlea"; and thirdly, the official dinner -held for first time in 1926-, considered the first ceremonial event performed as Brzdmtsveli with represenatives of Mktvartvelo's society.
"Nice to see you again", Anzor Nakashidze told to an unidentified ambassador. "You have come a bit early...the event is going to start in about two hours".
"I can imagine", the ambassador said. "We did not want to miss it!".
"Indeed", Anzor replied. "Is your first time in our national parliament?".
"Oh", the foreigner answered. "I have only visited it once in an official visit, a few weeks after my arrival to your country...".
"Alright", Anzor said. "I'll show you again if you don't mind. The event will be held in the Northern Chamber. As you'll see, the first gallery is reserved for religious authorities and important people of our society, while the second gallery is reserved for diplomats and foreign representatives, so you may have the best view, I imagine!".
"Oh", the diplomat replied, "it sounds a huge honour. It will be a pleasure to witness this historical ceremony!".
"Indeed", Anzor simply replied as they continued advancing through the National Palace.
