Philippe of BelgiumTorsten was born in 1960 and immediately was named as the Duke of Hochthal.
In 1971 he attended the Falkenburg Alt Gymnasium, one of the nations most elite schools. He boarded here until 1978 when he graduated having been focused on a career in the military as royal Princes would be expected to.
In 1978 he attended University at the City of Hochthal University where he studied Mathematics. While at University he joined the University Air Squadron where he gained his PPL. Upon graduation he began officer training with the Air Force. While he had wanted to be a fighter pilot his scores where not considered high enough and his father refused to pull any strings for him. As a result he was offered a commission as a navigator which he accepted.
He served as a full time officer until 2011 before switching the the National Reserve while also providing Air Experience Flights to the National Air Cadet Association. He finally officially fully retired from the Air Force upon ascending to the throne in 2016 upon the death of his father King Otwin.
In 1985 he married Felicity Kessler, the daughter of the Duke of Blutberg. The two had meet through mutual friends during a riding weekend. While happily married it transpired Felicity was unable to conceive children and the family believed that they may lose their long grip on the title of High King. In 1997 Felicity died after contracting an illness. Two years later, more for dynastic reasons Torsten married his current wife Elisabeth who had been suggested as a potential future Queen by Torsten's younger brother, Ulf. The two have three children ,Sigmund and his twin sister Isabella, and then a younger son called Maximillian.
In 2016 he was elected as High King winning 13 of the 16 votes.
