The Federation of Gyoen functions as a semi presidential republic with a parliamentary system that is administered as a federation of states. The government on a federal level is comprised of 3 branches which are described as the following:
The Executive Branch The executive branch is responsible for the day to day administration of the federal government. Which is headed by both the President and the General Secretary which are described as below:
President of the Federation of GyoenStyle of Address: His/Her Excellency
Method of Selection: Simple Majority vote of the Federal Assembly and usually comes from a pool of members of the Federal Assembly.
Duties & Functions: The President of the Federation of Gyoen under Article 28 of the Gyoenese Constitution describes the Presidents role as mostly a ceremonial role rather than an administrative one and acts as the nations head of state for a single term of 10 years. The President has certain duties and powers which include the following.
Giving Presidential Approval with legislation that has passed via majority vote within the Federal Assembly.
Can dismiss the General Secretary and his government in certain circumstances as per Article 10 Section VII.
Dismissing the Federal Assembly in cases of state emergency via a vote of no confidence in where the President temporarily administers for a year whereby a new government within that must be organised and elected in office via general election.
Convening the Federal Assembly
Awarding Honours to individuals
Supreme Military Commander of the armed forces
The President has the right to exercise the powers outlined above at their discretion but is usually done through the consultation and administrative checks via jucicial and legislative review.

Method of Selection: Selected by the political party with the most seats voted on in the Federal assembly. The General Secretary serves for a maximum of 2 terms of 5 years. (10 years max)
Duties & Functions: The General Secretary of the Federation of Gyoen is the head of government according to Article 29 of the Gyoenese Constitution. The office administrates the everyday running the country via a large network of federal offices and agencies via the exercise of the following powers:
Appoint and dismiss cabinet ministers and directors of federal government agencies and offices
Propose and vote on laws within the Federal Assembly
Acts as the head of their political party and parliamentary coalition.
Represents the Federation at home and abroad.

The Legislative BranchThe Federal Assembly (yeonbang-uihoe/연방의회) is the main legislative body in the Federation of Gyoen on a federal level. The Federal Assembly operates on a unicameral basis, whose members known as Assembly Delegates (ADs) are elected via democratic popular vote of their individual constituents every 5 years. Constituent Seats consist of 200,000 people per seat which bring the total seats to 420.
The Federal Assembly is responsible for making legislation via debate and review pieces to be passed. For legislation to pass there needs to be a simple majority vote of 51% or greater of the majority of members and be signed by the President of the Federation of Gyoen.
Legislation is debated on the floor of the assembly with the governing coalition led by the leading party in which the General Secretary is the head of with 51% seats or higher, and the opposition parties with their opposing coalition with 49% of the seats or lower. There is no set number of sessions of when the Federal Assembly operates but there is a consistent pattern of the Federal Assembly taking a recess over 4 weeks during the summer with the exception of emergency sessions.
Outside of the assemblys usual legislative duties, they are also charged with passing federal budgets proposed by the General Secretarys governing coalition and their cabinet as well as approving international treaties, declaring war and peace, as well as forming select committees to investigate specific governmental/legal issues and appoint judges.
The Judicial BranchThe Supreme Court of Gyoen is the main judicial body of Gyoen. The court is the final court of appeals in both civil and criminal cases and acts as an arbitration body for disputes between differing governmental bodies. The High Court also has the power of judicial review for all legislation
The Supreme Court is presided by 7 Supreme Court Judges who serve one term of 15 years. The Federal Justices are all appointed by the General Secretary via the a Federal Assembly Judiciary Committee hearing.
The legal system within the Federation of Gyoen is based on the principle of The pursuit of the truth where it is not based on a competitive adversarial bases but more of an investigatory body in order to ascertain the facts of the case and grants more power to the judges involved; whether it is liaising with police or statutory authorities to gather evidence, interrogating suspects or other parties involved in order to get a full accurate and objective facts of the case. After such process, the trial begins which acts as a hearing of what the outcome should be based on the hearing of the two disputing parties of the legal case.
