Feedback on Tour of Ardia:
It was well done but for the next time you do a tour like that I would suggest asking for a little more information at the sign up stage, maybe identifying team leaders or something to retain some realistic sense in the results, because from an ic perspective the tour of Ardia results in large part didn't add up, riders didn't appear to act as they should, team performances looked off and from an ic perspective the rider who would have been the odds on pre race favourite for the pink jersey was absent from all except one top twenty on a stage.
It is a good point. However, while introducing as much realism as it is possible, I try that sign up remains as simple as possible, as not everyone may know or be really invested in cycling so I wouldn't like that become an obstacle for more people to join. Besides consideratings that in RL cycling teams may have more than one GC contender (or none), my feeling is that the system would require to be too complex or introduce some kind of artificial compensation to consistently work that way. There are already some important differences in ratings between riders, actually, but still luck seems to play an important part in the simulation, for good or bad.
Team classification is a bit different case, though, as it is not really decided by the best or leading riders, or consistency in GC, but by the performance of the average or lower riders of the teams, being a combined result. As consequence, luck plays a more important factor in the final result.
