Following long discussions and planning it is the intention of the governments of East Moreland and Ui Cenneslaig to place a radio telescope on the moon in the future. The project is currently being called "Spectrum Five" and the hope is to land a minimum of two space craft on the Dark Side of the moon and using robotics to construct a significantly sized (1km diameter) wire mesh receiving dish in a crater. We are also likely to utilise a system of small, possibly cubesat, communication links to ensure good connectivity to the site. In the short term we hope to make a test run of the project on Mundus to test the usefulness of a dishless design.
While the majority of the project is to be undertaken by the Cenneg Space Agency and the Royal Aeronautical Society the private company of SmartWar are also involved to take a lead on the robotics side of the undertaking. We are open to other nations contributing to the project if they believe they have a role to play. In addition we will be giving access to Universities from time to time should the project be successful.
We realise that this is a long term project and highly ambitious but we believe that the project is achievable with the technology we currently can utilise.
We welcome the world to join us in this journey.
