The Altonan Electrical Syndicate is proud to announce that it has reached a point where the Wengchangzhen 1 Nuclear Facility can be "turned on". With construction complete and the reactor installed we have reached a point where we can begin to slowly increase the capacity of the plant and it is our hope that by early next year we will be in a position to begin providing Lijiang with usable electricity. To celebrate this occasion we are having a grand opening of sorts at the facility. We are pleased to announce that this will be attended both by the Dragon-Emperor of Lijiang and his family as well as King Rutger of Altona. We would welcome any government official who wishes to witness this prestigious event to attend.

Lijiang:
The Dragon-Emperor had promised a landmark project when he took the throne. He now would be presenting the 2nd of his reign to his subjects. The first had been the vertabrae ports, with the ones planned in operation and the SUN providing what in practice was going to be a bonus one. It had been a good few months for the Dragon-Emperor. These projects had boosted his prestige at home and the news of family additions had done a great deal to convince the people the current Imperials could form a mighty dynasty. Today was a chance to show some of the new prestige off. Wenchangzhen was if anything a collection of three houses, or rather it had been. As the plant had been built so had new homes in appartment complexes. A purpose built town now. The homes first for those workers, Altonan and Lijiangian who had worked on the project. Now they would become homes to those who would staff the station.

The town was welcoming its first real visitors. It had a new temple complex built within a thick earth wall and it was here that the days business would begin. Low tables and cushions had been laid out in the temples main hall and the Dragon-Priestess had been there since sunrise blessing it with the local clergy and now they stood ready to welcome the Dragon Emperor and his family. It was a rather large contingent of Imperials and so that meant hundreds of black armoured guards in attendance around the temple complex.

The Imperial family were excited for the day. Jing had ensured everyone was dressed in red, Dandan though as the Azure Queen had blue embroaidary. Lady Jihai was excused now she was pregnant but the Dragon-Emperors new concubine Lady Bao was pleased to be able to attend her first function. Even Prince Chun had his future wife, Jincheng in attendance, even all the High Lords were in the complex such was the importance of the day for the nation. Crowds gathered on the mile long road to the plant and all that was left now was the Altonan team to arrive and any foreign guests.

Olivia Cole never really got the opportunity to travel abroad but was rather pleased that King David had asked her to attend this on his behalf. As Minister for Science and Technology there were plenty of projects that kept her busy back home but she had heard from King David how nice his time in Lijiang had been and so arrived with little concern. She made her way to the temple and recalled the King relaying to her about which foot to enter a building with, she thought to what he had been told "Men with the left, women with the right. Why? Because women are always right." She smiled at the comment the King had brought back with him and took care to step across the threshold with her right foot and then approached the Imperial Family remembering to bow deeply. "Your Imperial Majesty. King David sends his greetings and apologises that he can't attend, he very much would like to see more of Lijiang. I am Olivia Cole the East Moreland Minister for Science and Technology. King David also tells me to let you know he is still practicing with the sword you kindly gave him and if I may present you with this." She fished into her pocket. "This is for the new child your expecting with wishes that you are blessed with a healthy son." She handed over a small dagger hoping the Dragon-Emperor recalled his own cultural chat with King David.
