Diplomacy and Events / Re: In the Spirit of St. Lazarus (Luuxland & ES)

(OOC Sorry! I've had quite a few hellish weeks at University. I should be back to regular schedule now for a while!)

Brandahn came and gathered the President and his entourage and the group made their way outside the city to a rural collection of houses which lined the highway. Soon the caravan of vehicles came upon a black iron gate of considerable size. Guard houses on either side of it were considerably armed an manned. The gates swung open revealing a dirt road lined with Pecan trees on either side. At the end, an old mansion covered in pillars holding up its roof over the front porch.

With the cars stopping outside the front Door, Brandahn got out and opened the door for the President.

"The Prince and Princess await you inside, Mr. Brasseur. I'll be meeting you at the Church in a few hours. A pleasure travelling with you to this point, sir." And with that Brandahn bowed and turned the President over to the Plantation's security.

They opened the doors of the Plantation House and the Prince was just inside and greeted Brasseur with a Handshake.

"A pleasure to at last meet you, Mr. President." I hope the trip wasn't too hard on you. Welcome to my home."

Tam uhpSkryve boarded the plane and set out for Cabagelandiet. Eager to start his role in the initial discussions between the two nations. The plane set down after a few hours and he walked down the stairs.  Greeting the welcoming party he bowed.

"My lord, the Prince sends his regards to your people and this nation. Thank you for inviting us here! He awaits the arrival of your ambassador as well to Sahvannah. I believe he'll be making a tour soon of friendly nations!"

Johna spoke to the king, but his interpreter spoke.

"You have the Prince's blessing to visit at any time, sire.  Luuxland welcomes any visitors from friends. Just grant us a couple days notice if you desire a more formal reception. If your desire is a more personal audience you're free to that as well as a fellow monarch! The Prince aswell wishes to visit you himself. He told me that he had seen you in East Moreland but couldn't speak there. Something which he sincerely regrets."

"Not suprising, Mister" Leuk said looking up from his son to the man that was speaking. "The Principality is an infant among states. Its situated on the northern shore of the Matilda Channel. Across from the Iwi and Andvari, and stretching along that coast all the way to Nordmar. We haven't been around long enough to show up any maps yet." He paused for a minute. "And you? Where are you from/ if I might ask."

"Nothing to really concern yourself with Mr. President. Luuxland's most inland province elected someone who was openly a radical republican to the Lower-House. An argument broke out over who was to be named  ambassador to the Queendom of Lodja. Princess Sehrra's sister Rachehl was chosen and that particular advisor accused the other's of being the Prince's puppets.  A fist fight broke out and the other advisors threw him out of the door of the capitol building."

"Through the door, actually. Didn't even bother to open it." interrupted one of the waiters

"Regardless, all but two of the Lower-House's advisors were arrested for either assault or vandalism. Their offices have been made into temporary cells. Legally, being convicted of any crime results in a forfeiture of office, but if the Prince removes the republican from office one day after his election... it could cause the people's faith in elections to suffer, and issues with the Yeeree minority in that province, and republican elements around the country. I expect the Prince will drop the charges to diffuse the situation."

The LCS Creek Cricket

The cars arrived at the docks and boarded a seeminly old Steam-Ship, but it became apparent that it was actually fueled by diesel. Something that became apparent as it pulled out from the harbor with a thick initial cloud of black smoke bellowing from its smoke stacks. The giant wheel turned and slapped the water as the ship got under way.

"Good news," said the captain of the ship as he approached the politicians, "The storm has missed our sea-route so we'll be riding the coast to Sahvannah. at worst it'll be a little rougher than usual, but the weather service has cleared us as all clear, Arch-Advisor"

"Any word from the Capitol regarding the Lower-House?" Brandahn asked.

"Nothing has happened in Sahvannah; their waiting on the Prince to tell them what to do. But the Martial Arm has been forced to send personnel to Wuudvyne, seems some protests are going on there. Nothing violent or problematic."

the captain was dismissed an the party enjoyed the scenery of the Luuxland coast. Very few settlements dotted the shore, and those that did were little more than fishing villages. Most towns were situated along the banks of the rivers. Sahvannah and Sahtella were the only significant ports in the country, and Sahvannah was tiny compared to Sahtella.  Not even truly set on the shore, the town was instead situated just inside the mouth of a very wide and deep river. A rocket launched from the Creek Cricket and a response flew up and exploded in the same shade of green as the first. The ship turned hard and sailed up into the mouth, slowing down as it fought the river.

The sun was setting as they arrived and the city's lights all came on as the ship pulled up and dropped anchor and was tied to the quay. Cars of the same make, model, and color as those that were rode through Sahtella pulled up as the gangplank was dropped.

"Mr. President, I am told that the Prince is currently attending the banquet tonight. As such we'll be making our way to the Plantations  tomorrow (OOC- at the first moment I can get him back from E.M.) These cars will be taking you to the finest hotel the capital has to offer. As for me, I must go deal with the situation regarding the Lower House. Capt. Jehrrod here is the head of your Luuxland security detail. He has a direct line to any member of the Advisory and the military. If you require anything he will be available. I am told the Hotel has prepared a grand meal of local cuisine for you. Tommorrow I will come to bring you to the Plantation to await the Prince."

Brandahn bowed and entered a different car and it sped off with its hidden police lights flashing from under the tinted windows and grille.

Jehrrod opened the door to the car for the President and two of his companions and then set himself in the front passenger. The Car brought them to an older looking building where they were ushered into a dining room with a table covered in food and the staff standing in attention.

(OOC- if I can't get Leuk away from E.M. in the next couple days, is it possible to do the meeting here as if it's after the banquet? or do we just wait until that thing ends?)

Diplomacy and Events / The Principality and the Queendom [Luuxland & Lodja]
« on: September 23, 2018, 04:45:24 AM »
The Ambassador of Luuxland to Lodja had been named only a few days earlier, and had been the catalyst to a a small political uproar within the country. The Prince's sister-in-law had been named to the person to represent the Principality to the Queendom of Lodja. However, they had heard of Lodja's strict policy regarding Ambassadors and embassies, so Prince Leuk had instead asked Rahchehl to meet the Lodjain emissary there in Sahvannah at the capitol building. Her job was simple; meet the Emmisary and engage in the initial introduction of the two nations. Then she was to find out if she even met the requirements of being an Ambassador to the Queendom. She was to escort the diplomat directly to Sahvannah via River-Ship and show them to the office that was selected as the Embassay while the permanent one was being built. They would then s tour the city and after the E.S. diplomats had left they were to proceed at once to the Plantation to meet with the Prince.

Rachehl was a bit nervous as she heard the the plane land at the airport in Sahtella.

"How do you do, Lord Besarian Ivanov" She began with a bow, "I am Rachehl MarcDohtuhr, sister to Princess-Lower Sehrra MarxDohtuhr Riatasun. My brother and law and sister would have welcomed you personally, but as you likely know they are currently away in East Moreland. The members of the Advisory are also currently meeting with the Ecclessiastical President and send their welcomes as well. You'll likely meet everyone when we all go to the Plantation near the end of your visit."

She picked up her head and body from the bow and awaited his response.

To King Piripi;

As it turns out King David III of East Moreland suggested, since me and my wife and my son were in a rush to get back home from the Festival of Sail, that we take a plane fro EM to your country and then Ferry over to Sahvannah. We were going to request permission after the Banquet, but since you have reached out, I think it would be an opportune moment for us to meet. Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to stay as the President of the E.S. is on his way to Sahvannah to meet me as is, but my wife Princess Sehrra has said she would stay in my stead for awhile and open the discussions. If that is all right by you.

Signed-
Prince Leuk of Luuxland

Prince Leuk and Princess Sehrra filed in and took three seats beside the last that had been taken. Leuk's Nephew was supposed to be here, but had been redirected to Cabagelandiet to attend the funeral. As he pulled the seat out for his wife and placed his son in the seat between them his new cross glinted in the light from the other wrist. His clothing was much more formal, but under his slacks the same ragged old boots showed themselves, a piece of his fashion he refused to change for anything no matter how his wife pleaded. "The tree can never take off its roots no matter how tall it grows" he would say to her as they got dressed for any occasion.

They sat quietly as the banquet began and looked with a great curiosity at all of the Morelander doings. He'd occasionally look down at little Leuk whenever he made a childish comment or question and chuckled or answered him while Sehrra told him "shhhh".

"The Prince saw political, economic, and diplomatic advantages to inviting the E.S. Navy to Farroport. The town being impoverished along with its surrounding province, is a result of centuries of neglect and isolation from the rest of the country due to a lack of connecting infrastructure or the natural lanes of transportation that bless the North-Western parts of the country. Inviting foreign business, investment, and protection does nothing but benefit the local economy, especially given Luuxland's inability to achieve any of those three to a sufficient degree in the immediate future. The E.S. was the preferred partner in this due to the Ancestral ties we share, and the religious connection. We saw an opportunity for this isolated community to benefit from the infrastructure and foreign business that comes with the arrival of a naval installation. An installation our close neighbors would have no reason to establish, nor do we have the capability to do so. The Principality itself benefits from the E.S.'s ability to immediately respond in the event of foreign aggression, the availability of the more experienced military to aid in training, The wealth brought in by tourists visiting and servicemen stationed there,  and the obvious effect of dissuading our former overlords from attempting to re-invade.

Even if the E.S. council votes not to establish a permanent military presence in the bay, its open status, we hope, will be inviting to E.S. investors and tourists. Thus, boosting local and national economy. The town will retain its 'excepted' status regarding the Principality's generally strict border control regardless if the council accepts our offer or not. But, we believe allowing the E.S. to set up a true presence in the area would benefit it equally as much as it does Luuxland.

"Sahtella is the economic heart of the otherwise agricultural Principality. Sahtella is also the heart of Catholicism in Luuxland. Throughout the years of occupation, Sahtella was Sahvannah's sister in being a center for the revolution. Sahtella likewise funded and suffered most of the cost of the war; financially, physically, and also in human-lives. Catholics fought alongside Anabaptists, and even when the doctrine of total pacifism which is held by so many of us Anabaptist  prevented many from physically fighting back, when the enemy bore down on us, Catholics defended those who could not themselves. As for the Church itself, I don't think either church can be oversold in their contributions to the well-being, both spiritually and physically of the people. And the contributions of those Luuxlanders that are ethnically Ecclesiastical, their contributions likewise cannot be over stated. It was in no small part that these talks with the E.S. were brought about partially due as thanks for their sacrifice and dedication."

With the closing of the press briefing, the diplomatic party entered the cars that were awaiting them and began to ride through the city in a scenic route toward the harbor. a few of the cars broke off from the procession to take a more direct route.

"They're going on ahead to the capital to deal with the unfortunate events from yesterday morning. It appears that Republican advisor caused quite a stir in the Lowerhouse's first meeting." the Arch-Advisor said to the President. "I'm told the final banquet in East Moreland is soon to happen, after which the Prince and Princess will be on their way immediately. If they arrive in the Capitol after us, they'll meet us at the Plantation instead of the harbor. If the weather permits it should be a quick sail up the coast, but if it turns sour we'll be forced to add an hour or two to our travel time by taking the rivers. If that happens traffic will be halted along the route to Sahvannah to expedite the trip."

The Arch-Advisor was looking through the window of that same broken skyscraper the President had seen on his first trip through the city. "The Princess was raised in that one there," He said pointing it out. "It's called 'Marxtoyur'. Her father was in there when a missile struck it. I'm told she had just left the penthouse to go out and take a walk, and saw the whole thing on her way back." He looked to see the president's reaction if there was any. "We've been trying to decide whether to rebuild it, or stabilize and reinforce the ruin as a monument..

Johna Riatasun was young, 15 years of age and his birthday was approaching rapidly in the coming months. It was obvious that this was his first time out of the country, but he was to assume a position in Luuxland's Upperhouse of the Advisory on his birthday in November. He was the Prince's nephew from an older, now deceased sibling. Or at least who was believed deceased, since he vanished during the independence war. He was accompanied by a interpreter, and seemed reluctant to use even what very little English he did know. He bowed upon seeing Brassicus II and his interpreter instantly began translating the Luuxlandish.

"Honorable Brassicus II, My uncle sends his deepest condolences. He would have come himself had he not been held at the Festival. My other uncle, Arch-Advisor Brandahn would have sent someone already in the Advisory, but as I'm sure you're aware they are preoccupied with the President of the E.S. and his visit. The Lower-House has since come-" the interpreter stopped as if he didn't want to say it but after Johna him a look of displeasure he continued "Half of the Lower-house was arrested yesterday morning. So, I'm all we had available. I hope your grace doesn't find my presence to be offensive." the interpreter took something from a small bag on his hip and handed it to Brassicus. It was the name and information of the Luuxlander ambassador, who was currently on his way to Cabagelandiet following the Prince's open invitation early in the month. "Luuxland thanks you for your offer of friendship between us."

the boy and the interpreter bow and move on to allow the next guest to introduce themselves.

Plantation vs. Capitol

As the Lower-House of the Advisory met for the first time in Sahtella, they had one single item on agenda. The LH was given the responsibility of naming the principality's first set of international ambassadors. As the only democratically elected body of the national government, the LH had been selected as a  show of good faith by the Prince to respect the desires of the common people. However, the debate became super-heated almost immediately over the proposal that Princess Sehrra's sister, Rachehl Marxdohtuhr, should become ambassador to the Queendom of Lodja. Advisor Jaekon Fesset of Wuudvyne accused the other members of the LH of being "royal puppets" and stated that the  appointing of the Princess' sister was noting more that thinly veiled nepotism.

Advisor Fesset accused Advisor Stellah Daeren of Province Sahvannah of being the winner of a rigged election and in the pocket of the IRF (Immediate Royal Family).  Immediately after, Advisor Chaet Teitahm of Province Tahneea slammed Advisor Fesset, calling him a Yeeree agent. A fist fight between the two broke out in the Meeting Hall, and Advisor Fesset was retrained and thrown through the glass door of the Hall before the other's could be restrained by police.

As of the time of writing, all members of the Lower-House excluding Advisor Stellah Daeren, and Advisor Clehm UphGdarre (who was still meeting with the E.S. President in Sahtella at the time.)  have been placed under arrest for assault and vandalism. An arrest that the Plantation has refused to comment on at this time. Princess Sehrra broadcast from on board the LRS Sunfyre this afternoon to express the Prince's disappointment in the LH's behavior, and failure to accomplish the only job they had for the day. She then officially appointed the Ambassador's in the Prince's name including her sister.

After awaiting to see if the Ecclesiasticals had any further business.

"Very well." said Brandahn. We'll finish this meeting off with the press release then we'll bring up the  cavalcade for the tour of the city as we move to the port to board a ship  for Sahvannah. There, hopefully,  the Prince and Princess along with the other members of the Lower-House will meet us at the Plantation." he looked around for any objections, and when seeing none motioned for the soldiers to open the doors for the News Outlets to flood in for the brief (OOC- each of us will take one post to RP the questions.)

"We have, for the past several hours been in open discussion regarding international relations between the Ecclesiastical State of Christ and The Principality of Luuxland. We, the members of the Upper-House of the Advisory have been granted by Prince Leuk I certain rights and permissions regarding the diplomacy. We have, I daresay, used those permissions in their fullest extent to be sure to establish the strongest possible foundation for the friendship and cooperation between our two states, and the security and influence of Luuxland. I would like to close this opening statement by thanking President Alain Brasseur, Mother Arilda of the AIH, and their entourage for making the time to come to our huumble country for these discussions, and for their openness to all of our requests and suggestions. We have agree to an initial Treaty, one that will be released to the public via the Ahfess uhp thah Happenen (AutH) as soon as it is presented to the Prince for the first time for his review." the Arch-Advisor closed and Advisor-Archbishop Clehm UhpGdarre  declared questions open.

The LLR Media company was the first to pose questions:

"Arch-Advisor," began the Journalist "As we all understand the City of Sahtella in which we are all standing was the hardest hit by the fighting during the independence bid. Will the E.S. be offering aid in the reconstruction in the country?"

"The E.S. particulary the AIH under Mother Arilda have expressed interest in opening a branch of their charitable organization here in Luuxland. This will indeed come to great benefit of the city. In Addition, we have received word from the Prince himself that King David of East Moreland has offered and sent one of his own to oversee many aspects of reconstruction. With the aid of both of these new Friends, Luuxland will begin to heal far quicker than it ever would by itself."

"Arch-Advisor, what is the government's response to the election of Jaekon Fesset to the Lower-House? The Province of Wuudvyne has lowest population of the country, but is home to almost all of the Yeeree population, and now those folks have used their influence to elect a man who openly declares himself a Republican. The Prince swore to uphold the initial election results, but will the Republican be allowed to remain?"

"My Brother has kept his promise to honor the lower-house's results. The Yeeree do make up a considerable portion of Wuudvyne's population but they are not the majority, so the insinuation that they have sown a seed of conflict by electing a Republican is false. They showed sympathy to us against their own countrymen, We will in return uphold our duty to treat them as brethren. The Advisory, nor the Plantation will be threatened by a single member whom the rest disagree with."

"What is the Status of the Principality's return visit to the the E.S?"

"Currently, the thought is for the Advisory to name ambassadors for the E.S. and other states between tomorrow and the overmorrow. The plan is for Princess Sehrra to follow in the Ambassador's wake to the E.S. The Prince wished to accompany her, but it currently is unlikely. She, however, has been adamant in her desire to see the country and particularly the northern areas. The Lower-House will be naming ambassadors while we accompany our guests to Sahvannah."

"Final question for the Advisory: What is the status of the Arms deal and the equipping of the Martial Arms?"

"We will be entering a close friendship and state of cooperation with the E.S. They have expressed an open-mind at arming us and engaging in some sort of deal. Whether that deal will be between State and State or State and Corporations remains to be seen. I feel they wish to discuss those issues more in detail with the Prince himself and we respect that."

"President Brasseur,  The Catholic population has been eager to hear whether and when the Church in Luuxland will be welcomed into the fold. Has the Pope expressed any opinion regarding this?"

"Luuxland is situated rather centrally between the all of the continents of Mundus, and we are the only country other than Andvari, and The Iwi situated on the Matilda Channels. Does the E.S. intend to make any use of Luuxland's strategic location for it's foreign influence and operations now that the two nations have expressed a desire for cooperation?"

LLR ends its questions and the floor opens for the E.S. media.

(OOC- you don't have to RP this if you don't have any questions to ask.)

Luuxland welcomes Cabagelandiet's interest in an embassy and opening of discussions. I am told by my government that thanks to the ending of the elections for the Lower house two days ago, They will begin naming Luuxland's ambassadors tomorrow and the day after. After which we will be sending them out to all nations that have been open to relations with us. We hope our friendship grows and flourishes from this day.

"Attica? That isn't very far from here is it?" Brandahn asked the Archbishop.

"Well, relative to the E.S. Itself, no. But, I wouldn't walk it." said the holy-man. "Attica is their coastal kingdom, and the only Christian one I believe." he said looking over at the president.

"I take it the Emperor would not take kindly to us offering refuge for her-" Advisor Eimoss was cut short by the approach of a soldier.

"The Prince's aide is calling from East Moreland. Please, excuse this interruption." Said the Arch-Advisor as he answered the call in Luuxlandish. The Luuxlanders at the table all made faces of concern and and spoke in hushed voices as the Archadvisor spoke over the phone. After the phone call ended, Brandahn adjusted himself and spoke again.

"It seems the meeting with King David has gone well. He is sending us a young girl to oversee the reconstruction efforts. But, apparently a dignitary from some other country has... died in mid sentence." he looked at the table with a concerned face. "Is that a normal thing to happen at conventions?"

"Did the aide say he would talk to the Prince about the Queen of Attica?" asked the Prince's uncle.

"He did, but if I know Leuk, I don't believe for a moment he would deny her entry."

"Maybe he ought to in this situation. Our security forces are still in disarray. I don't know this emperor but we're certainly in range of them, and an assassination would all it would take to set this country into chaos. Not to mention make us look incompetent!"

"Can we deny our sister refuge? she has already lost her family! the least we can do is offer her a friend!" said the Archbishop in protest."

"Gentleman! Gentleman! Calm down." Brandahn interrupted the debate. "Mr. President, as you can see, the Advisory is in a state of disagreement in this issue. I do not have the authority to grant such a sensitive individual political asylum at this time..." he looked around at the members around the table. "But, last I checked, ships were considered to be the soil of the nation which owns them. And we just granted permission for Ecclesiastical ships to moor in Farroport." the advisor which had objected began to speak but was hushed by the Arch-Advisor. "If the ES were to, i don't know... have such a person of interest on board one of their ships in the Harbor, and didn't tell us. I don't think there's much we could say about it. And should the Prince in the near future offer her refuge here, and she just happened to be a few yards off of the pier by coincidence. I don't think he would find much to object over." Brandahn smiled. "completely a hypothetical situation, you understand."

@Achkaerin

Just to let you know. Luuxland has officially (or will in the next couple days irl) signed a treaty with The Ecclesiastical State. As per the terms of this treaty, The Ecclessiastical Navy will be granted fleet-basing rights in the city of Farroport, Luuxland. The Young Pope has already stated he will be stationing military assets there in that city. Meaning the city will be acting as a base for the E.S. but still under the Luuxland's sovereignty. I noticed several similar locations are marked on the map so I wanted to make you aware of this situation so you could mark it if it needs to be marked.

If Luuxland's land claim is accepted, Farroport will be located here :

(Sahvannah is the Capital, and Sahtella the largest city. This is just a map i through together to show their location to TYP)

  • Advisor Jaekob Leen, Province: Hohrtensia

The Advisory has now been officially established.

In other news:

  • The Talks with the Ecclesiastical State continue in Sahtella. The diplomatic party is expected to begin their tour of the city in the coming days. After which they will be travelling to Sahvannah to sign anything that has been agreed upon.
  • Prince Leuk II and family are reportedly still in East Moreland meeting with King David and other members of the international community. Details of his return, or the entourage that traveled with him have not been disclosed to the public at this time.
  • Reports have surface from East Moreland, however, that an East Morelander woman will be returning with the Prince to facilitate Morelander aid in the Luuxland reconstruction efforts.

We hope that this is only the beginning of the friends Luuxland will find in the international community!

Leuk responded to the introductions with Emperor Peter, Prince Albrecht, Staysa, and Julian. He bowed to all of them and offered "Nice to see Monarchies are so prevalent in the modern world! I hope to enjoy all of your company in your homes, and you in mine at points in the future if god allows!"

Leuk raised one eyebrow at the Events regarding the dying and then dead dignitary. When the woman fell over he took a step as if to run by her side, but was pulled back by a Luuxlander soldier, the same one which had been caring after his son only minutes earlier. "Kuhdau, Prinss! nahn kansah aurt." he said in Luuxlandish. Leuk gave a furrowed brow and then stepped back into place. "Juhrnta thah shep, rehlah thess tae thah Advyesorree. nah baut guhrl." he said quietly. "yh, Prinss." was the return and the soldier walked swiftly back to the river ship. The Prince and Princess watched silently, Leuk occasionally asked Melissa a question quietly but for the most part he just observed.

He, Sehrrah and their son also joined in with the ceremony-crowd. "Quiet a culture you all have here, Ms. Melissa. Quite admirable."

after the ceremony he saw the other leaders offering gifts to the young girl. He walked up to her, offered her father a handshake and tilted his head. He knelt down in front of the child. "Lady Evie." Leuk said bowing before the child. "I beg your forgiveness. I wasn't aware of you or what so special a day it has been shown to be. I'm afraid that I had no gift prepared afore our meeting here." Leuk looked up and the silver cross hanging from his wrist gleamed in the corner of his eye. "But, it would appear that I have unintentionally arrived with one." Leuk grabbed the cross with his right hand and with great force snapped it silver chain which held it to the bracelet. Letting out a small wince of pain. retracting his left hand behind his back to hide the small bit of blood now seeping from under the bracelet. "I hope, your family will find no offense in this cross as a gift. It has been with me since I became an adult. Never once removed. It has seen battle, war, suffering, glory, strife, pain, and joy." he held his palm open and read the words written in Luuxlandish, then translated: "Psalm 144, verses 1 and 2." he then recited those verses from memory to the girl in English.

"Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me."

"Keep it, and know that you have a friend, and a place in Luuxland should you ever need it in your life. It will serve as passport, visa, and many will even give you anything you want for free if you show it since you are a friend of the Prince." He bowed again when she took it, and stood back up. nodding to the parents he said a word of congratulation and turned away holding his wrist. "If you all will excuse me, I'm afraid there is something I must attend to on my ship."

he and his family left the ceremony after collecting a few things and saying goodbye to all the rulers individually. Carefully attempting to hide his bloodied wrist.

On their way to the Sunfyre, Leuk was caught off guard by the arrival of Brassicus II. His voice carried quite far and Leuk found him to be somewhat... eccentric... "What in the devil's hell?" he asked under his breath. "What is it?" Sehrra asked. "Thah Kyeng uhv Kohl. Apparently." he said in Luuxlandish before adding the last word in English.

"The King of... Cabbage?" Sehrra began to ask when she saw the Green-Cladded monarch from some distance.

"Is he supposed to be the Green Knight from that one story with Sir Gawain?" she asked with an amused tone.

"No idea, but I feel I'll have to speak with him before we go back home. Let's go get this bracelet off so we can redo the piercing and doctor the wound." he said with a face showing discomfort.

"You won't be able to redo the piercing until it heals. Unless you want to do the right arm."

They began walking off toward the Sunfyre.

"Everything regarding the treaty looks good to us." said Arch-Advisor Branahn as he looked over the document and passed it to the other member's sat at the table. "I'm sure Prince Leuk will be over-joyed at the terms." as he handed the docucument to Advisor MakRyle, Rahbin let out a chuckle and said in Luuxlandish "Puhrdiklee thah bot baut thah Baesbahl fuhrauu!" The Luuxlander's let out a laugh at this. Prince Leuk happened to be a huge Baseball fan and they all secretly feared he would attempt to play on the national team himself!

coming out of the laugh Advisor Eimoss Riatasun spoke up. "Now, I know for a fact my nephew will sign this agreement as is, but as I'm sure you are all aware the Advisory nor the Arch-Advisor here currently has authority to sign it. We agree to the terms, but as explained when you arrived the Prince himself will be doing the actual signing when we get to Sahtehlla." Brandahn shook his head in Affirmation "I hope the President is still fine with this arrangement. As for the arms-deal, You may choose to deal with us, or the Prince himself if that's something you still wish to deal with on a state-level. On that issue, Luuxland must follow your lead."

Leuk took a gulp of the tea and squinted his eyes a bit. He was used to iced tea and found the difference jarring, but welcomed that every sip made it less and less so.

"Very well. She may arrive in Sahvannah at the first moment of convenience.  She could even come personally with me. Her visa and clearances will be the first thing I sign after we hit native soil! She can take a look at reconstruction efforts in Sahtella, and then if that works well we'll let her take a look at the plans for an airport in Sahvannah." he said. Princess Sehrra walked up to the girl and introduced herself to the girl as well.

"We look forward to having you at the Plantation, Ms. Melissa." as she said this, the younger Leuk waved shyly with a smile and then hid his face in his mother's neck after seeing Melissa acknowledge him. "You're a little young to be flirting, son." Prince Leuk said with a laugh as he poked at the child, "But at least you already have good taste." he looked at Melissa still laughing and winked at her to let her in on his jesting.

"Don't mind him, dear. Out of the two Leuks here, the bigger one is often the bigger child. He'll do anything to embarrass or make you blush if you let him. you just have to hit him right back." said the Princess.

"You make me sound sadistic if you say it like that!" Leuk retorted with a laugh.  "Very well King David. I accept all your suggestions. I look forward to our relationship developing, and the relationship between our two nations."

Each member of the Advisory looked over the proposed document. they all made notes, and comments to themselves as they read it. Brandahn lifted the paper and said: "Prime Minister, this treaty is almost perfect s far as we are conscerned, but we feel we need to offer something in exchange for the stipend offered. We, the members of the advisory, would like to offer the Ecclesiastical military unlimited, and unhindered access to Luuxlander waters. Also, we offer that the town of Farroport (which lies in the countries southernmost point in the northern Matilda Channel) be open to the Ecclesiastical Navy. Consider this an offer to ammend the treaty to include limited fleet-basing rights. To station, or moor E.S. ships should be considered, by default, granted by the Principality unless otherwise stated. And the town of Farroport will, aswell, be open to E.S. Servicemen without need of passport or visa." Bradahn awaited the reply when UhpGdarre spoke up.

"What sport shall we play? I wager football/soccer would be the answer. That is unless E.S. has a thriving baseball scene!" the Archbishop declared with a smile.
