Lucius is the eldest son of the former Emperor, Alfred IV, and his wife Empress Madeline. He has seven siblings, most of whom are half brothers and sisters from his fathers various consorts. He was born in the capital of the Empire, Ebora, in 1968.

The Emperor was home tutored from the age of four in a class of nine other noble boys who had been selected because their families had demonstrated great dedication and loyalty to the family. The Emperor was not though too gifted academically but his father was exceptionally strict and forced young Lucius into endless of hours of extra study, in particular on matters of the Veridusian faith. Whenever Lucius made a mistake in life his father forced him to first find a sacred passage that would correct the mistake and then he was forced to write it out hundreds of times. His fathers strict discipline has left significant marks on him today. His father was also though keen to remind the young future Emperor that he was special and had been sent to Mundus for a special task and that this came with responsibilities and significant rights.

At 16 Lucius was struggling to pass his national exams in all subjects except Religious Studies. When his results came in he had failed most subjects and his father sent him off to a construction company for six months to be shown just how privledged his life was and how he needed to work harder. In 1986 he joined the Army for two years as is expected as a minimum of all male members of the Imperial Family.

In 1988 he began taking part in various Imperial Affairs and served as Consul for the first time in 1989 after his father all but insisted the leaders of the seven Kingdoms select him. During that time Lucius had very little to do other than rubber stamp what his father wished. He has held positions of ambassador to various nations, as a envoy to some of the seven Kingdoms and held various ministries.

In 1990 his father organised his marriage to Josephina, the youngest daughter of King Theobold of Cyrain. He was never fully committed to the marriage but understood that it was a political matter as the people of Cyrain had felt some dissatisfaction with the Empire after Josephina's sister Mariabelle had been passed over for an important position within the Priesthood. The marriage between Lucius and Josephina was merely a good way to keep Cyrain from causing mischief.

The two have three children, Princess Anaïs (born in 1993), Princess Astrid (born in 1997) and Prince Henrik (born in 2000).

In 2016 Emperor Alfred died after contracting a virus which he initially seemed to be recovering from but then died suddenly.

As Emperor he has been very inward looking. He considered his father a good Emperor but he lacked the ability to fully unite the seven Kingdoms in his plans. Lucius however took great steps in ensuring that both the Veridust faith and the Empires needs were front and centre. While his father had paid lip service to many traditions Lucius insisted they be done with no compromise.

In the Imperial Household he has ordered strict adherence to rules and strict discipline. He maintains a large staff as he believes this is reflection of his power. In addition he has inisted that each of the Kingdoms provide a consort and has fathered several children with them, several of whom he has installed ready to take positions of influence with both the Priesthood and management of the various Kingdoms.

Princess of Cyrain

Josephina was born in 1968 and is the youngest daughter of King Theobold of Cyrain. She has two older sisters, one of whom was nearly selected as a high ranking Priestess. She also has an older brother Phillipe who is expected to inherit the throne of Cyrain.

She was a girl interested in dogs from a young age and began helping in her fathers hunting dog kennels at age six. At school she made a decision early on in life she wanted to be a vet. At the age of 11 she began caring for any of the royal kennels who were considered runty. She also began fundraising for local animal shelters. In 1990 she was rather surprised when her father arranged her marriage to Lucius Archambault, the future Emperor.

As a result she has had to give up her ambition of being a vet however she has been able to use her power and position to improve the lot of various animal charities and organisations. She herself has a large collection of various animals, many of whom are rescued. She has also ensured the strong continuation of the Archambault families stables and kennels.

Her marriage to Lucius is largely a mechanical affair with the focus being on affairs of state and production of children. She has though focused heavily on the upbringing of her children and their various half brothers and sisters. She is very hands on with the household running and helps enforce her husbands strict discipline.

His Imperial Highness Crown Prince Henrik

Born in 2000 in the capital he is the only son of Emperor Lucius and Empress Josephina. His father opted not for him to be home tutored all his youth. Instead he was home tutored until the age of 10 at which point he spent a year in each of the seven Kingdoms before returning for his final year. As a result he has a good understanding of the slight differences in cultures between them and has built some strong relationships having spent time living with many of their royal families.

His father has instilled in him the concept of divine mandate and privilege while also giving him a strong sense of duty. Unlike his father however he has not inherited the draconian sense of discipline. As of the summer of 2023 he has just completed his military service having spent two year serving in the Imperial Air Force as a navigator. He found military service difficult as it gave him too much structure in his life and stopped him pursing his interests of art and motorsport. He used his Imperial fortune to compete in rallys but was banned in 2021 when he rolled a car during a race and while he escaped serious injury his co-pilot did suffer serious concussion and a broken collarbone. As such his father forbid him competing anymore. Since then however he has become more involved in the technical side of motorsport and the Prince Henrik Cup is a much sought after Under 16's go kart tournament that he created and now acts as a feeder for professional race teams.

He has recently just moved into the Imperial Palace in Ebora and will at the Winter Solstice in 2023 be given control of his own wing of the Palace with some associated duties in order to help prepare him for taking the throne one day. He has also been named as his father's choice for Consul beginning on January 2024.

Imperial Consort

Astrid was born in the small village of Deniaud in 1990. Her family ran the local post office which her father had purchased with his medical retirement money after injuring his knee while in the Imperial Parachute Regiment. Astrid had an unremarkable childhood. She attended her local state school where she was a popular girl who was an average academic. She was part of the hockey team and played flute in the school orchestra. Her older brother Luc (three years older) went on to play football for the nations under 18's and then went on to play for RC Ebora, one of the largest clubs in the country.

Astrid applied to ETV, the nations largest TV company, in 2008 to work an apprenticeship to be a news reporter. She however was not given a position in the news media team and ended up working for the sports section of the company, largely due to her connections to Luc Traver but also for her extensive knowledge of a wide range of sports. In 2011 she began co-presenting an early morning Sports TV programme and coupled with her good looks became a popular presenter on the network.

In 2012 she attended a charity event at the Imperial Palace and caught the eye of the Emperor. He soon began regularly inviting her to the Palace and in early 2013 the Priestesses of Veridus approved the Emperors desire for Astrid to become one of his permitted Consorts. At that years Celebration of Light the Emperor made it official.

In May of 2014 she gave birth to her first child with the Emperor, a daughter called Isidore. The Emperor then bestowed, as is tradition once a Consort provides a child, a noble title upon her making her Baroness of her home town. Deniaud warmly accepted their first Baroness and a street was named after her later in the year.

In 2016 she gave birth to her second child, a son called Blaise. The Emperor at that point was delighted with her and presented her with a large estate just outside the capital.

In 2020 she gave birth to her third child, a son called Felix.

To many it is clear that Astrid is the favourite of the Emperors consorts and this is evident as she has amassed a rather impressive collection of jewellry and other gifts from the Emperor.

Astrid fills her days helping Empress Josephina manage various charities as well as promoting the sport of hockey which she adores. As her children with the Emperor are educated and cared for in the Imperial household she is often in Ebora spending time with them as well as the various other Imperial children.

Imperial Consort

Éloïse is the youngest child of former King of Montverde Vespasien IV. Her older brother, King Vespasien V, is the current King of Montverde. She has three other older sisters. She was born in 1966 and her childhood is very much one of wealth. She grew up in the Bridge Palace and had private tutors for most subjects from the age of four until 18. She was a student who excelled in more practical subjects and despite her fathers attempts at making her into what he believed a "royal lady" should be she found a deep affection for carpentry and woodwork.

In 1988 her father began negotiations to try and have her marry the future Emperor however this came to nothing, largely as the Kingdom of Cyrain was willing to offer a lot more concessions than Montverde. However with Éloïse being rather low on Montverde order of succession her father was then willing to offer her as a Consort to the future Emperor. This offer was accepted and at the Winter Solstice of 1988 she was officially made an Imperial Consort. Initially her and Lucius did not get along that well, mainly as Éloïse was jealous of Princess Josephina of Cyrian who in 1990 married Lucius. The two however have since become firm friends and as younger consorts came along have dealt with the day to day management of the Emperors children personally.

In 1990 she gave birth to her first child, a son called Renaud. Currently Renaud is serving as an officer in the Navy.

In 1994 she gave birth to her second child, a son called Cyrille. Currently Cyrille is a member of the diplomatic team based in Aosta.

In 1999 she gave birth to her thrid child, a daughter called Florette. Currently Florette is studying a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering at University.

Imperial Consort

Clara was born in the town of Grimala in the Kingdom of Aurélienne in 1985. Her father was the Count of Grimala and she is an only child. Her father was a leading member of the Navy and as such spent a lot of time away from home. Clara was sent away to the Imperial Academy for Girls at the age of 11 in 1996. She grew up alongside many of the leading nobles in the nation and found a flair for poetry. By the time she was 16 she had two anthologies of poems published.

In 2002 her father was approached by the then Prince Lucius about writing several pieces for him to read during the Summer Solstice. The two became close and at that years Winter Solstice she was confirmed as his Consort. The two became inseperable for the next five years however after that things began to fizzle out. When Lucius took Astrid Taver as a Consort he has seen very little of Clara. This arrangement has seemingly suited Clara fine as she spends much of her time writing and support literacy charities utilising her position as Consort to attract attention to her works. Despite not having shared Lucius bed since 2020 she is still respected as a Consort and is often wheeled out at the various religious celebrations in order to provide readings.

In 2003 she gave birth to her first child, a daughter called Axelle, who is currently completing a Law Degree at University

In 2005 she gave birth to her second child, a son called Jean-Michelle, who is currently in his final year of secondary education and intends to join the Army.

In 2018 she gave birth to her third child, a son called Marcelle.

Three time Imperial Consul

Ghyslain is the half brother of the Emperor. He was born in 1965 and his father was Emperor Alfred IV, his mother was an Imperial Consort called Coraline Dior who was a renowned ballerina who had caught the eye of Alfred IV. He is close friends with his half brother and has earned somewhat of a reputation of being an enforcer for the Emperor.  Like most of the children fathered by the Imperial family he was educated for a life in the service of the Empire. Like his royal brother he was heavily indoctrinated in the faith often being punished by having to copy large sections of sacred text. While he was not home tutored he did attend the Imperial Academy for Boys where he did well in History and Geography.

In 1983 he left secondary school and enrolled at University to study Military History. He enjoyed his time there fully embracing the University oppurtunities by being an active member of the University rugby team and was part of the Hike and Camp Society. In 1986 he graduated and was immediately accepted for officer training in the Army. He served in a armoured scouting unit between 1988-1999 when under his father's request he was transfered into the Imperial Vanguard, a unit that are responsible for security of the Emperor. He continued raising through the ranks and in 2016 when his father died and his half brother became Emperor he found himself immediately promoted to General of Imperial Household, a title that means he is responsible for all military matters around the security of the Emperor as well as acting as a kind of Minister of Defence.

He has served as Consul alongside his brother in 2017, 2020 and 2022.

In 1988 he married an officer in the Army Medical Corps, Sasha Planche. She left the military in 1993. She was the only child of the Duke of Anjali, a small town close to Ebora. In 2016 Sasha inherited the title of Duchess and therefore he became Duke. They have two children. Diane was born in 1994 and is currently a Priestess. Laurentin was born in 1998 and is a architect working as part of the Imperial Households estate management team.
