The Pride of the Imperial Navy, the Eshai-class first launched in 1988 and entered service in the early 90s. There are two ships in the class, the INS
Arkan Vakhet and
Khorai Sharos, with plans for another two, the INS
Arkan Kosan and
Ashot Tankai being dropped in the mid-90s.
